Appointed 1 February 2019, Ms Cynthia Wang is a seasoned financial executive and a pioneer in environmentally conscious finance. She's held various leadership positions at investment banks and financial institutions in the US and Asia. Most recently she was Head of China at Bridgewater Associates, a global-macro investment manager. She's also the founder of the Sustainability Innovation Fund at Carnegie Mellon University.
Cynthia Wang is a trusted advisor to multibillion-dollar global organizations on developing strategic priorities crucial to their financial and impact goals. She is most effective in engineering productive, international collaborations by connecting the dots across financial platforms, industries, governments, and geographies. Her client portfolio includes the largest, most sophisticated institutional investors, as well as industry leaders across the energy, technology, and infrastructure sectors.
Cynthia holds an MBA and an MS in Computational Finance from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, and a BA in Economics/Mathematics from the University of California.

Appointed 1 October 2017, Mr David Hone works for Shell International Ltd. and is the Chief Climate Change Adviser in the Shell Scenarios team. He joined Shell in 1980 after graduating as a Chemical Engineer from the University of Adelaide in Australia. He has worked in refinery technology, oil trading and shipping areas for Shell.
Mr Hone is a board member of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), was Chairman of IETA from 2011-2013 and is a board member of C2ES in Washington.
Mr Hone is a regular climate blogger and is the author of a current book on climate change, ‘Putting the Genie Back: Solving the Climate and Energy Dilemma'.

Appointed 1 October 2017, Dr Fiona Wild has almost 25 years' experience in multinational oil and gas and resources companies, ranging from frontline operational management to corporate strategic development across a variety of countries and businesses. She is a leading voice on how resources companies can manage climate-related risks and support a low carbon transition in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
In her current role, Dr Wild leads the design and implementation of BHP's climate change strategy, including activities in the areas of portfolio evaluation, operational and value chain decarbonisation, physical risk and adaptation, reporting and disclosure, and stakeholder engagement. She advises the Board and senior management on emerging climate change trends and represents BHP in engagements with international NGOs, academics, peers, industry associations, governments and investors.
Dr Wild began her career with oil and gas major BP and gained extensive experience in carbon management, climate policy and low carbon business development, including supporting BP as it investigated opportunities to develop commercial-scale Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) facilities.
In December 2015, Dr Wild was appointed to the Financial Stability Board's Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures reporting to the G20. She also holds several Board positions.

Appointed 14th September 2023, Dr Sally Benson is currently holding the position of Precourt Family Professor within the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. With a rich history of accomplishments at the forefront of energy research and sustainability, she served as a catalyst for cross-campus collaborations. Her groundbreaking work on carbon capture and storage as well as in net energy analyses for wind turbines, solar photovoltaics, and renewable energy storage has shaped the discourse in the field.
Her impact extends beyond academia. President Joe Biden appointed her to a key position in the White House's Office of Science & Technology Policy. While on leave from Stanford, Benson served as Director of the Energy Division and Chief Strategist for the energy transition from 2021 to 2023. She was the lead author of a special report on carbon capture and storage published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 2005. In 2007, she was one of thousands of IPCC scientists to share the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts to inform the public on the science of climate change.

Appointed 1 February 2019, Dr Sumie Nakayama is currently the Executive Officer at Electric Power Development Co., Ltd (J-POWER), holds the position of Committee member for the Sustainable CCS Project by Japan's Ministry of the Environment and is also a Professor for the Graduate School of Management at Kyoto University.
Dr Nakayama has established her expertise in research of global energy and climate policy, including the development of low carbon technologies incorporating CCS, and is a specialist in model-based energy demand/supply analysis. She worked as a visiting researcher at the Center for Energy and Environment Policy Research, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr Nakayama holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Master of Engineering in Energy Science and PhD from Graduate School of Tokyo Institute of Technology.

‘Appointed 26th September 2024, Kamel has worked in the energy, environmental and climate sectors since 1980. CCS has been a key focus since 2002 when he began working with Schlumberger to develop the related company strategy and project portfolio and then with the International Energy Agency in 2007, where he led the development of the publication of "CO 2 capture and storage - a major carbon abatement option" in 2008.
Kamel has broad experience in the private energy sector across all continents from his time with Schlumberger where his roles included Group Chief Economist, and Technology Center President. He was the Chief Economist at ADNOC from 2017 to 2018.
Kamel was appointed Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines in Tunisia between 2014 and 2015 and from 2015 to 2017 was the IEA Director for Sustainability, Technology and Outlooks. He and his teams were responsible for the development of leading long-term energy outlooks, technology and climate policies, and the Agency's CCUS projects.
In 2019 he created an energy transition consulting company in the United Arab Emirates (Nomadia Energy Consulting), and in 2020 became the Chairman of DAMORPHE, a Houston-based technology start-up. From 2021 to 2023 Kamel was the worldwide President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, with over 120,000 members worldwide. He has also coauthored 19 books and 180 technical papers.'

Appointed 1 February 2019, Mr Phil Bainbridge is currently a non-executive Director of Sims Limited and non-executive Chairman of Sino Gas and Energy (SGE) and Sino Gas and Energy Holdings Ltd (SGEH). He is also a Member of the Papua New Guinea Sustainable Development Program.
Mr Bainbridge worked for the BP Group for 23 years in a range of engineering, commercial and senior management roles in the UK, USA, Australia and around the world. From 2006, Mr Bainbridge worked at Oil Search primarily responsible for all aspects of Oil Search's interests in the PNG LNG project.
Mr Bainbridge has a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
