Dr. Kelly James

Dr. James has practiced in the West Michigan area before joining Holland Eye Surgery and Laser Center in 2020. A member of the West Michigan Optometric Association, Dr. James provides medical and post surgical eye care in addition to working closely with Dr. Snyder and Dr. Currie. In addition to practicing optometry, Dr. James enjoys playing tennis, baking/cooking, volunteering at church, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.

Dr. Matthew Currie

Dr. Currie is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. His practice of comprehensive eye care includes diseases and surgery of the eye for adults, including glaucoma, diabetes, and cataracts. He has a special interest in cataract surgery, including laser guided cataract surgery and advanced technology intraocular lenses. Dr. Currie practiced in Toledo, Ohio for 10 years before moving to Holland, Michigan to be close to family. In his spare time, Dr. Currie enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, friends and family, reading philosophy and history, and playing racquet sports - most recently Pickleball.

Dr. Tara Oosterbaan

Dr. Oosterbaan has been practicing in the Holland area since 2001, joining Holland Eye Surgery and Laser Center in 2007. A member of the West Michigan Optometric Association, Dr. Oosterbaan provides medical and post surgical eye care in addition to working closely with Dr. Currie and Dr. Snyder. In addition to practicing optometry, Dr. Oosterbaan enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, and two children Turner and Abigail. In her free time she can most often be found reading or enjoying West Michigan's beautiful bike paths, beaches, and ski slopes.

ERIC D. SNYDER

Dr. Snyder joined Holland Eye Surgery and Laser Center in 2002. His training includes extensive experience in all aspects of surgical and medical eye disorders including cataract, glaucoma, laser eye surgery, eyelid abnormalities, diabetic and retinal disease, and pediatric ophthalmology, taking a special interest in corneal transplant (DSEK and DMEK), cataract and Visian ICL surgeries. Dr. Snyder has participated in multiple medical missionary trips through Luke Society performing eye surgeries in Gracias, Honduras. Dr. Snyder and his wife Sonya have five children, three daughters Sophia, Monica and Jessica, and two sons Isaac and Nathaniel.
