After a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer, Dr. James R. Huey, a founding partner of Huey & Weprin Ob/Gyn and practicing physician for over 30 years, passed away on August 6, 2016. Dr. Huey was an amazing physician with a devoted patient base who, during his many years in practice, touched the lives of many families while helping to welcome thousands of little lives into the world. We loved him and miss him immensely, but will carry on his legacy by providing the very best care in obstetrics and gynecology to women in Miami Valley.
Dr. Urschel is a graduate of Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been a practicing physician in the Dayton area for over five years and has a special interest in high-risk obstetrics, labor management, infertility workup and initial treatment, and adolescent GYN care. When asked why she chose to focus on obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Urschel said "I love to watch families grow and support women through conception, pregnancy, postpartum care and beyond. The Ob/Gyn specialty has a wonderful mix of medicine, surgery, and "art" that continues to challenge me every day to expand my abilities and devise individual and innovative ways to improve patient care." Outside of medicine, Dr. Urschel enjoys gardening, boating, skiing, reading, watching Netflix, Steelers Football, and spending time with her four children, three dogs, and husband. Dr. Urschel will begin seeing patients at both our Englewood and Kettering offices on April 4, 2022.
Kelsey Tincher is a born and raised Daytonian, growing up in Beavercreek, Ohio. She graduated with her BSN from the University of Kentucky in 2019 and received her MSN from the University of Cincinnati in 2023. As a registered nurse, Kelsey spent her time working in critical care, the ICU and the ER.
Women's health is a passion of Kelsey's and she chose to make it her primary specialty focus because she recognizes the importance of empowering women to make informed decisions about their health. Kelsey is committed to providing exceptional care to women throughout every stage of life and sees patients at both our Englewood and Kettering offices for routine well-woman and problem gynecologic needs, as well as routine and high-risk prenatal care.
In her free time, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, and staying active outdoors.
The providers and staff at Huey & Weprin Ob/Gyn are very excited to welcome Lisa McGarry - Nurse Practitioner, Ohio native, wife and mother of 2 - to the practice!
Lisa received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tennessee Technological University in 2006. She completed her studies in 2011, obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Wright State University. And since there's no place like home, Lisa has returned to Dayton, Ohio, joining the Huey & Weprin Ob/Gyn team to put study into practice.
Lisa chose to focus on obstetrics and gynecology because she strongly believes in the importance of regular preventative care for women, as well as caring for expecting mothers throughout their pregnancy. In her free time, Lisa enjoys running, hiking, and staying active with her family.
Dr. Sharma is a board certified Ob/Gyn who was born in England, and raised in India and Ohio. After earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Sharma earned her Doctorate of Medicine at the Ross University School of Medicine in 2006. Dr. Sharma then completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Dr. Sharma is happy to be back home in the Southern Ohio area and part of the Huey & Weprin Ob/Gyn team.
Dr. Crye is an Ohio native who received her medical degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens. She completed her residency at Grandview Medical Center, where she was Chief Resident. While pregnant with her first child, Dr. Crye chose to focus on obstetrics and gynecology because she strongly believes in the importance of providing women with quality care through all stages of life.
Dr. Crye has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and reproductive health, and in her free time, she enjoys staying active, exploring the outdoors with her family, taking on DIY projects, and attending sporting events.
