A specialist in medical diagnosis and treatment of retinal and macular diseases, she is an expert in AMD, diabetic retinopathy, and vascular retinal diseases.
Renowned in the field of research having received different awards, she is taking part in more than 20 international clinical trials and collaborates in the development of new therapies for the treatment of retinal disease.

Professional experience:
Director of the Retina and Vitreous Department at the Barraquer Clinic in Bogotá, Colombia. 2012 - 2023. In charge of patients with different pathologies that compromise the retina, carrying out their clinical and surgical management. Dr Bohórquez was also a tenured professor in the retina area of the ophthalmology specialisation programme offered by the Higher School of Ophthalmology, Barraquer Institute of America.
Dr Natalino Giuliano Salas has been an ophthalmologist specialising in glaucoma at the Institute of Eye Microsurgery since 2020, after having completed the Master's Degree in glaucoma at IMO, specialising in Ophthalmology at the Complejo Hospitalario de Navarra and Surgeon at the International University of Ecuador.
