Dr Anton Vratuša

Dr. Anton Vratuša, a distinguished figure in Yugoslav and international academia and diplomacy, was pivotal in the establishment and development of the International Center for Public Enterprises (ICPE). Born in 1915 in Dolnji Slaveči, Prekmurje, he was a key figure in Yugoslavia's transition to market economies. He actively participated in the Yugoslav National Liberation Movement and held various high-level governmental roles. His academic career spanned the University of Belgrade and Ljubljana, focusing on political sciences, self-management in Yugoslavia, and international relations. Vratuša published extensively and contributed to significant research projects, while also holding memberships in various international organizations and academies. His work at ICPE, promoting public sector development, remains a cornerstone of his enduring legacy.
