Calvin G. Butler Jr. - COO

Calvin G. Butler Jr. is president and chief executive officer of Exelon. Butler oversees Exelon's six local electric and natural gas companies - Atlantic City Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power, PECO and Pepco. Together, they form the nation's largest utility company by customer count, serving approximately 10 million electric and gas customers in New Jersey, Maryland, Illinois, Delaware, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. He serves as chairman of each utility's board and is a member of Exelon's executive committee. Butler is a past chair of the Gridwise Alliance, an advocacy organization promoting modernization and innovation for the nation's electrical grid, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for RLI Corp as a member of its audit and nominations/governance committees. In addition, Butler previously served on the board of M&T Bank Corporation and M&T Bank, its principal banking subsidiary, as a member of its nomination, compensation and governance committee. Butler has served as COO since October 2021 and was named president and COO in October 2022. He previously served as Exelon Utilities CEO since 2019 and as CEO of Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) from 2014 to 2019. Prior to that role, Butler served as BGE's senior vice president for Regulatory and External Affairs. In addition, he has held various leadership positions at ComEd, including as senior vice president of Corporate Affairs and vice president of Governmental and Legislative Affairs. Before joining Exelon in 2008, he held senior leadership roles in external affairs as well as in manufacturing with the print, digital and supply chain solutions company R.R. Donnelley. Butler spent his early career with Central Illinois Light Company (CILCORP, Inc.), where he worked in government affairs, legal and strategy. In addition to serving on the Exelon Board, Butler also serves as chair of each Exelon operating company board - BGE, ComEd, PECO and PHI. He is the vice chair of the Institute of International Education (IIE) and also serves on the board of RLI Corp. (NYSE: RLI). He will be a new member of the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago. He also serves on several nonprofit boards in areas where Exelon operates, and is on the Board of his undergraduate alma mater, Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. Butler also serves on the James Madison Council of the Library of Congress. He has been recognized by several organizations for his leadership and community commitment. In 2021, The Daily Record named Butler to their "Power 100" list and has singled him out as one of its top 35 Influential Marylanders, as well as listed him three times as one of Maryland's "Most Admired CEOs." In 2020, he was honored with the BEYA Chairman's Award, recognizing Black leaders for their meaningful contributions to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). That same year, he was named among Black Enterprise magazine's "Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America," and as Zpryme's "ETS Thought Leader of the Year," honoring those with the "inventive and brave vision needed to inspire the global energy ecosystem toward sustainable modernization." In 2019, the Boy Scouts of America honored him with the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award. He is an active member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Butler earned a bachelor's degree from Bradley University and a Juris Doctor degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Mo. He received an honorary doctorate of Humane Letters from Morgan State University in 2014. Butler and his wife, Sharon, have two children, Blake Calvin and Raini Alexis.

Clare Overmann

Clare Overmann is the Head of Higher Education Initiatives at the Institute of International Education (IIE). In this role, she oversees many of IIE's signature programs and external-facing initiatives, such as the IIENetwork Membership, the IIE Centennial Fellowship, the IIE American Passport Program, and the Global Engineering Education Exchange consortium. She directs IIE's Center for International Partnerships and its flagship International Academic Partnership Program and is the inaugural Executive Director of the National Academy for International Education. Clare is a regular international education speaker and trainer, and is the editor of several IIE publications, including the bi-annual IIENetworker Magazine and Global Perspectives on Strategic International Partnerships: A Guide to Building Sustainable Academic Linkages. She holds a BA from Georgetown University and an MA in International Education from NYU Steinhardt.

Colleen Goggins is a trusted advisor and partner to a wide variety of businesses and leaders around the world. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on a number of corporate boards across a variety of industries. Colleen is actively involved with a number of non-profit organizations. She is a member of the University of Wisconsin Foundation, where she sits on the Executive Committee and chairs the Budget and Compensation Committee. Additionally, she is a Board member of the University's Center for Brand and Product Management and serves on the Board of Directors of New York Citymeals-on-Wheels. She holds a Masters of Management from the Kellogg School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Cori Crisfield

Cori manages the IIE Global E3 program, which enables engineering students to go abroad to member universities while earning credit at home. Each application cycle, Cori provides placement guidance, advising, and programmatic support to the Global E3 consortium, as well as oversees consortium partnerships and MOU maintenance. Cori also supports the Center's flagship International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP). Cori graduated from Hamilton College with a degree in Public Policy and Environmental Studies after taking a gap year in the Dominican Republic and Spain.

Dr. Allan E. Goodman - CEO

Dr. Allan E. Goodman is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of International Education, which marked its Centennial in 2019. IIE promotes the exchange of scholars and students, rescues scholars, students, and artists from persecution, displacement, and crises, conducts research on international academic mobility, and administers the Fulbright program sponsored by the United States Department of State. The Institute collaborates with a wide range of corporate, government and foundation partners across the globe. 108 of its directors, grantees, and alumni of programs administered by IIE are recipients of Nobel Prizes. Dr. Goodman is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and serves on the selection committees for Rhodes and Schwarzman Scholars and has previously served on the Yidan Prize. He also serves on the Council for Higher Education Accreditation International Quality Group Advisory Council and the Board of Trustees of the Education Above All Foundation. Dr. Goodman has a Ph.D. in Government from Harvard, an M.P.A. from the John F. Kennedy School of Government and a B.S. from Northwestern University, and is the recipient of honorary degrees from Canadian, European, Japanese, UK, and US universities. He received decorations for his work in promoting educational exchange and scholar rescue from the governments of France, Germany, and Norway; he received the first Gilbert Medal from the Universitas 21 Organisation. Before joining IIE, Dr Goodman was Executive Dean of the School of Foreign Service and Professor at Georgetown University. His books on international relations are published by Princeton, Harvard, and Yale University presses. He has served at the Department of State and the Central Intelligence Agency.

Susan Buck Sutton

Susan Buck Sutton brings 40 years as faculty member and administrator to her work on global learning and engagement in higher education. Recently retired as Senior Advisor for International Initiatives at Bryn Mawr College, Sutton is also Emerita Associate Vice President of International Affairs and Emerita Chancellor's Professor of Anthropology at Indiana University. A strong advocate for jointly constructed and mutually beneficial international partnerships, Sutton has published widely on all aspects of partnership development and conducted partnership workshops in over 25 countries. Her leadership of internationalization at Indiana University's urban campus was guided by a philosophy of international collaboration, honored with the Andrew Heiskell Award from IIE and Senator Paul Simon Award from NAFSA. She has been President of the Association of International Education Administrators, Chair of NAFSA's International Education Leadership section, and officer or adviser at AAC&U, IAU, and the Forum on Education Abroad. In 2018, Sutton received the Charles Klasek Award for outstanding service to the field of international education.

Sylvia Jons

Sylvia Jons is an accomplished professional in the field of international higher education initiatives, specializing in fostering strategic global partnerships. With a wealth of experience in programs such as the Global Fulbright Program, Brazil Scientific Mobility Program, Whitaker Biomedical Program, USAID, and IIE's Generation Study Abroad, Sylvia is an expert in developing and nurturing international collaborations. As the Lead for IIE Initiatives and Manager of the IIE Center for International Partnerships, she plays a vital role in driving impactful global educational initiatives. Sylvia's deep understanding of the intricacies of international partnerships has been honed through her previous positions at institutions like the University of Nebraska-System and organizations like APAIE. Her ability to navigate cultural nuances and forge fruitful relationships has led to the successful implementation of numerous collaborative ventures. Sylvia holds a BA and MA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, further strengthening her academic foundation.
