Andrea Hyde is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in orthopedics. She works in collaborative practice with Dr. Christopher Mudd. Her duties at Orthopedic Associates include diagnosing and treating orthopedic injuries and assisting in surgery. Ms. Hyde received her Masters of Science in Nursing as an adult/geriatric nurse practitioner from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2016. She also completed a certificate program for surgical technologist from the College of Southern Idaho in 2003. She holds ANCC certification as well as a BLS and ACLS. Ms. Hyde is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.

Angela G. Gauthier

Bethanie A. Dinan

Bethanie Dinan is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedics. She works in collaborative practice with Dr. Richard Hulsey and Dr. James Burke. Diagnosing and treating orthopedic injuries and assisting in surgery are just some of her duties at Orthopedic Associates. Bethanie received a bachelor's degree in communication and marketing from Saint Louis University. She then attended Barry University in Miami, Florida, where she received a Master of Clinical Medical Science and Physician Assistant Certificate. Bethanie has worked as a physician assistant since 2005 and in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine since 2008. Additionally, she has experience in pain management. Bethanie is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery. She holds a license in the state of Missouri. She is on the allied medical staff at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Luke's Hospital and Des Peres Square Surgery Center. Christopher D. Mudd

Dr. Christopher Mudd is a native of Saint Louis with strong roots in the local community. He began his education at Saint Louis University High School. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Saint Louis University. Dr. Mudd is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) and is a fellow member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). He has fellowship training in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and he specializes in pain, arthritis, deformities, and injuries of the adult hip and knee. His practice consists primarily of surgical and nonsurgical management of knee and hip problems. Dr. Mudd has extensive training and experience in minimally invasive joint replacements of the hip and knee, and he performs the muscle-sparing direct anterior hip replacement technique. Additionally, Dr. Mudd specializes in the active patient, using modern technology and minimally invasive techniques, including performing partial knee replacements, and he is certified on the Mako® robotically assisted partial knee procedure. In addition to joint replacements, Dr. Mudd has a very busy revision joint practice. He enjoys treating complex reconstruction, deformity correction, and "re-dos" of total joints that have failed for any number of reasons, including wear, loosening, misalignment, infection, and fractures around joint replacements. During his residency at Saint Louis University, Dr. Mudd received extensive fracture surgery training, and he performs fracture surgery due to traumatic injuries on all parts of the skeletal system.

Katie E. House

Katie House is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who works in collaborative practice with Dr. Ryan Pitts. She is dedicated to providing her patients with compassionate, exceptional orthopedic care. Her practice focuses on non-surgical treatment of shoulder, hip, and knee issues as well as neck and back pain. In addition to her extensive experience in these areas Katie works closely with Dr. Pitts to coordinate the care of their post-surgical patients. In 2008, Katie received her diploma of nursing from Lutheran School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, Illinois earning her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2012. Katie gained valuable experience working in the ICU and then providing care to surgical patients in the surgery center setting. Katie then decided to further her education by completing the nurse practitioner program at Chamberlain University, graduating from the program in 2016. Katie is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Pain Society.

Michael P. Nogalski

Dr. Michael Nogalski is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He was recertified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2004. Board recertification is a program to demonstrate continued expertise as an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Nogalski specializes in knee and shoulder injuries, sports medicine, and work-related injuries. He treats high school and intercollegiate athletes. Dr. Nogalski earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Rush Presbyterian, St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Nogalski is on the medical staffs of Des Peres Square Surgery Center, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Luke's Hospital, and Des Peres Hospital. Dr. Nogalski is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Missouri State Orthopaedic Association, Missouri State Medical Society, St. Louis Medical Society, and St. Louis Orthopaedic Society. His research is published in several peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Nogalski's favorite activities include tennis, golf, and fishing.

Dr. Patrick Sweeney is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in providing comprehensive surgical and nonsurgical care for the shoulder and elbow. Prioritizing his patients' well-being, he is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating an array of orthopedic injuries and conditions, from shoulder instability to elbow fractures. Dr. Sweeney is committed to maximizing and exhausting nonsurgical methods to treat the shoulder and elbow before pursuing surgery. His philosophy is to always do what is best for the patient through good communication and unwavering commitment. Dr. Sweeney earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. He went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Remaining in Chicago, Dr. Sweeney completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. After his residency, he pursued additional training through a shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship at Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Sweeney has extensive experience in a wide variety of shoulder and elbow surgical and nonsurgical treatments. His expertise includes arthroscopic surgeries, shoulder and elbow replacements, rotator cuff surgeries, reverse shoulder replacements, complex and revision shoulder and elbow surgeries, shoulder and elbow fracture fixations, injections, and bracing. Richard E. Hulsey

Dr. Richard Hulsey is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in shoulder surgery from Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Hulsey practices general orthopedics but has particular expertise in shoulder surgery, joint replacement, and sports medicine. He is also well-versed in the diagnosis and treatment of work-related injuries. A graduate of the University of Missouri - Columbia, Dr. Hulsey completed his internship in general surgery and his orthopedic surgery residency at Washington University School of Medicine, returning after completing his fellowship to work as an instructor of orthopedic surgery from 1988 to 1992. He joined Orthopedic Associates in 1992 and currently serves as the group's president. Dr. Hulsey travels weekly to the Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to treat the orthopedic needs of the local residents. He is on the medical staffs of Des Peres Square Surgery Center, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Luke's Hospital, Shriners Hospital in Saint Louis, and Parkland Health Center. Dr. Hulsey is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Wallace Cole Society, and the St. Louis Orthopaedic Society, and he also serves as a member of the Quality Assurance and Peer Review Committee at Missouri Baptist Medical Center.

Dr. Ryan Pitts serves as the president at Orthopedic Associates. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and is one of the few surgeons in St. Louis subspecialty board certified in Sports Medicine through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine from the Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Pitts specializes in Sports Medicine, arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, and hip, total joint replacements including outpatient joint replacements, and treatment of work-related injuries. Dr. Pitts graduated from medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the prestigious Mayo Clinic. He completed his fellowship training at Washington University School of Medicine.
