Bruce C. Gockerman

Bruce has over 30 years of experience in strategy development, finance, law, and Government. Bruce was the Founder and Managing Partner of the Michigan law firm of Gockerman, Wilson, Saylor & Hesslin, P.C. His practice areas included (i) corporate, labor, real estate, and municipal law, (ii) business litigation, (iii) corporate liability, and (iv) labor negotiations. Prior to that, Bruce was the Vice President and General Counsel of a $60 million consumer products company where he oversaw the legal, strategic planning, finance, and human resource functions. Bruce is recognized as a consummate lawyer-educator - and is an Adjunct Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Stuart School of Business. He is the author of many papers and articles related to law and economics. He also is a Principal in Standard Deviation Econometrics, Ltd. and in Public Policy Analytics, Ltd, - Chicago-based consulting firms. Bruce holds the following degrees: AB-Economics, Cum Laude, Eastern Michigan University J.D., Wayne State University School of Law MBA - Finance and Quantitative Analysis, University of Chicago Booth School of Business D.Mgt., Case Western Reserve University, Weatherhead School of Management In addition, Bruce is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Certified Forensic Financial Analyst (CFFA).

John L. Boyle, II - Founder

John Boyle founded J.L. Boyle International in 1981 and has over 30 years of experience working on strategy development, corporate and Municipal restructurings, complex analysis, and litigation support. He has worked with both private and publicly-traded companies, and his assignments have covered a wide range of industries including retail, manufacturing, financial services, and many areas of "high tech." In addition, John has consulted for numerous government entities and law firms. He has served as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, and Chief Financial Officer in many companies where JLBI provided interim crisis and turnaround management. He is a seasoned expert in the area of interim management. John also has extensive knowledge of Government economics - at the local, state, and Federal levels, and has authored many essays and speeches on Government legacy costs and the unaffordability of Government in America. John began his business career at Ford Motor Company's Finance Staff under the direction of J. Edward Lundy, the last of Ford's "Whiz Kids." His tenure at Ford included assignments at Ford Credit, Treasury Operations, and Finance Staff. Previously, he was an Instructor of Statistics and Operations Research at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and an Instructor of Mathematics at Georgia State University. John holds a Master's Degree in Actuarial Science from Georgia State University and a Master's Degree in Statistics and Operations Research from the Wharton Business School. John served in the Army Reserve as a Rifleman in 157th Infantry Brigade of The 1st Army. He also is an Adjunct Lecturer of Mathematics at Eastern Michigan University, serves as the President of the Coalition for Intergenerational Equity (a non-profit service and educational organization), and is a Local Unit Financial Advisor approved by the State of Michigan to assist local units of Government.

Martha J. King

Martha King has more than twenty years of experience in accounting, auditing, and financial analysis. She has a broad range of experience with strategic planning, budgeting, financial reporting, control assessment, the development of financial-reporting systems, and the development of financial models. Martha has functioned as a stand-in CFO (i) overseeing all areas of accounting - including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, control assessment, financial statements, budgets, and (ii) working with CEOs on strategic plans. Recent consulting assignments include working with a local unit of Government to develop a stochastic model to assess the impact of alternative courses of actions and alternative economic trends upon its Sewer Fund over a 25-year horizon. Martha began her career as a public accountant for Ernst & Young, where she was heavily involved in audit planning for her clients. Later assignments included stints at New England Electric System and (an electric utility based in the Northeast) where she honed her skills in strategic planning, budgeting, auditing, financial analysis, risk management, and financial-statement development. Martha's consulting work has focused on strategy development, development of financial-reporting systems, financial analysis, and profit-improvement programs. Martha is an authority on the financial aspects of regulated industries. Currently, Martha is the owner of Accounting Advantage which specializes in implementing and optimizing accounting and information-control systems. Martha is a CPA, certified by the State of Michigan, and holds a BBA from the University of Michigan.

Michael Kondogiani

Mike is the founder of Complete Business Strategies, LLC, and specializes in working with companies seeking a competitive advantage by improving their supply chain performance. Mike is a proven supply chain leader with over 35 years of demonstrated hands-on expertise and knowledge in negotiating major contracts, supply chain merger integration, process improvement identification and implementation. Previously, Mike was Director of Supply Chain for DTE Energy. He was responsible for the strategic and tactical development and operation for DTE's supply chain process with annual expenditures of $800 million. He has implemented many strategic sourcing programs resulting in considerable savings and process improvements for DTE Energy. Mike was the supply chain process leader in DTE's successful merger with MCN Energy in May 2001. Mike has been a Principal with J.L. Boyle International since 2002 and has played key roles in several J.L. Boyle International municipal projects. In particular projects involving the City of Detroit and Washtenaw County, Mike helped develop strategies for cost reduction and avoidance along with identifying cost savings in healthcare. Mike also has authored numerous articles on procurement and supply chain issues and is a sought-after speaker on supply chain improvement topics to many professional and industry groups throughout the country. Mike earned his MBA in Finance/Marketing and BSEE degrees from Wayne State University. He is also a registered professional engineer in the State of Michigan. In addition, he has served as Chairman of the Livonia Mission Health Advisory Council, as a member of the Providence Hospital Advisory Council, and as Vice Chairman of Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit.

Thomas M. Kokinda

Tom specializes in working with companies and organizations in the fields of public relations, marketing, and media planning. Tom is an expert at developing crisis communications and public relations plans for companies in transition. Previously, Tom served as Director of Marketing for MichTel, a Michigan phone company, and as Marketing and Public Relations Manager for Arnold Graphic Resources, a printing and fulfillment company in suburban Chicago. He was also Editor-in-Chief of New Haven Monthly Magazine and was Vice-President of Ajara Productions, a concert, promotion and event sponsorship acquisition firm in New Haven, Connecticut. Tom has also been a press and public relations consultant to a number of political campaigns in Cleveland, New York City, and state-wide in Connecticut. Tom attended San Francisco State University and holds a B.A. in Communications from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont. He has been associated with J.L. Boyle International since its inception. In his spare time, Tom is a freelance writer and is on the Board of Directors for the Coalition for Intergenerational Equity, a non-profit service and educational organization.
