Allison has been with the firm over 10 years. She practices in the Probate, Estate Planning, and Elder Law departments. Allison grew up with an attorney father, who inspired her to follow in his footsteps of helping others. The most rewarding part of her job is assisting clients to ensure that their property and health care wishes are honored and that their loved ones are provided for. Allison is President of the Tolland County Bar Association and a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford. She was named a Super Lawyer Rising Star in the Estate Planning and Probate category in 2023, an honor bestowed upon less than 2.5% of the lawyers in each state. Meaghan is a graduate of Western New England University (WNEU) School of Law, where she gained experience assisting clients in family emergency removal hearings, involving allegations of abuse and neglect, as well as representing individuals in all sessions of criminal court, including arraignments, motion hearings, and trials. In her last year, Meaghan was Managing Editor of the Western New England University Law Review, where she and her team worked tirelessly to produce Volume 44 and promulgate new policies that focused on promoting and encouraging diversity, inclusion, and creativity within the Law Review.
Outside of work, Meaghan is an active member within the community. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Tolland County Bar Association, and Center Sphere Network. She also participates with various volunteer groups, including Manchester's Midwest Food Bank and Rebuilding Together, among other local organizations.
Attorney Brandon Fontaine is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department, where he leads the appellate and family law practice areas. He focuses on divorce, custody, and other family law matters, along with civil litigation, in the trial and appellate courts. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Brandon's appellate practice has involved numerous appeals before the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts, focused on all areas of family law and civil litigation. His experience is well-suited to complex appellate issues, resulting in successful outcomes on a majority of his client's appellate cases. Alist of representative cases is provided here.
Brandon also represents clients on all aspects of divorce, custody, and other family law matters, such as property division, child support, alimony, visitation, relocation, restraining orders, prenuptial agreements, paternity, contempt of court orders, post-judgment issues and modifications, and high income/asset divorces. Brandon was recognized in 2023 by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as a "Top 10 Family Law Attorney" in Connecticut, for the third year year in a row. He serves as a Special Master for family matters in the Tolland County Judicial District. In addition to litigation, his family law practice includes mediation and collaborative divorce.
Brandon handles a broad range of civil litigation for businesses and individuals as well, including contract matters, business disputes, consumer protection, personal injury claims, and a variety of other cases. He also defends clients charged in criminal matters and represents victims of criminal offenses.
Chris is a partner in KKC's Litigation Department and represents individuals and companies in a wide array of business and consumer disputes in a broad range of fields and industries at both the trial and appellate level in state and federal court. He also represents claimants and respondents in state administrative and private arbitration forums.
Chris's litigation practice is focused in the following areas: Commercial Foreclosures, Replevins, Collections and Evictions, Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights, Employment Litigation, Construction Litigation, Real Estate and Boundary Line Litigation, Probate Litigation, Personal Injury, and Insurance Disputes. He has represented clients in a variety of different contract and tort based claims. Chris has tried multiple cases to judgment, has jury trial experience, and has conducted multiple evidentiary hearings seeking interlocutory relief.
Prior to joining Kahan Kerensky Capossela, Chris worked at the Connecticut General Assembly drafting, negotiating, and lobbying leadership's legislative priorities.
Daniel Steiner is a law clerk in the Business and Litigation Departments. He was the first person in his family to attend college and graduated with honors from Central Connecticut State University with a Finance degree. He is finishing up his law education at Western New England University School of Law and will receive a Transactional Law Certificate. Dan lives in Tolland, Connecticut, and enjoys coaching travel baseball in his free time.
Dory brings 22 years of experience to the areas of Real Estate, Land Use and Zoning, and Land Use Litigation. She represents developers and landowners before local boards and commissions and in land use appeals in the trial and appellate courts of the State of Connecticut. She enjoys a close working relationship with her many developer clients and shares in their energy and passion for their projects. She has extensive experience in handling wetlands permits, wetlands redesignations, regulation amendments, amendments to the Plan of Conservation and Development, subdivision approvals, site plan approvals, special permits and exceptions, variances, enforcement actions, 22a-19 Environmental Intervention matters, and sewer permits. In her real estate practice, Dory counsels financial institutions, developers, and individuals in a wide variety of transactions, including title matters, purchases, sales, financing transactions, easements, and leases pertaining to residential and commercial properties. She's brought her enthusiasm for a variety of topics to her lectures at land use seminars throughout the state. She has two boys and spends much of her free time rooting for them on the soccer field.
Attorney Manion is a partner practicing for over 35 years in the areas of Residential Real Estate, Divorce and Family Law, Criminal and DUI Defense, and Estate Planning. He serves as a Special Master for Family Matters in the Tolland County Judicial District and is a member of the Real Property and Family Law Sections of the Connecticut Bar Association. He has served on the South Windsor Planning and Zoning Commission and other committees in the Town of South Windsor.
Attorney Manion has served as Legal Counsel and Executive Vice-President of the Greater Hartford Jaycees, organizers of the PGA Tour Greater Hartford Open, currently known as the Travelers Championship.

Jennifer Vincenzo is a law clerk in the Estate Planning and Family Law departments. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut in 2021 with a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences and is now in her final year at Quinnipiac Law School. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a recipient of the Excellence in Oral Advocacy award and the Judge Edgar W. Bassick III Scholarship for students interested in Family Law. Outside of school and work, Jen enjoys running and hking.
Justin is a partner practicing in the areas of Business Law, Secured Finance, and Commercial and Residential Real Estate. A significant amount of Justin's practice involves representing private lenders in commercial loan transactions as well as representing clients in the formation of new businesses and the acquisition or sale of existing businesses.
Justin is a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University and the University of Connecticut School of Law. He is a member of the ECSU Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors and currently serves as its President.

Kevin joined Kahan, Kerensky & Capossela in 2013 as a Trusts, Estates, and Probate Partner, following over 20 years as a Partner at Tyler Cooper & Alcorn and Hinckley, Allen and Synder. He focuses his practice primarily on estate planning, trust creation and administration, probate law, and taxation. He belongs to the Estate and Business Planning Council of Greater Hartford and the Greater Hartford Probate Forum. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association Estate and Probate Executive Committee. He serves as trustee and represents other trsutees for all types of trusts. Kevin is involved in many community and civic organizations, including Town Council, the South Windsor Community Foundation, Rotary International, and Women's Health Research at Yale.

She has extensive experience handling commercial and residential real estate transactions, commercial and residential landlord tenant matters, business formation, and contract drafting, review, and negotiation. She also negotiates purchases and sales of business assets, membership interests and stocks, prepares buy-sell agreements for business owners, and assists clients in transitioning businesses to the next generation.
Meghan has authored numerous publications in the field of foreclosure law for the USFN. She has held several leadership roles in civic organizations, including the Windsor Jaycees and the Greater Hartford Jaycees. She is the current Vice President of the Tolland County Bar Association and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Hartford County Bar Association, and the Connecticut Women's Council. This past year, she was elected to the Board of Directors for the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce, is chairing its golf tournament committee, and is on the planning committee for the Greater Hartford Women's Conference.

Sol concentrates his practice in the areas of Land Use, Development, Zoning, Corporate, and Business Law. Sol has extensive banking experience in his 50 plus years as an attorney. He was a former Member of the Board of Directors of Vernon National Bank and New England Community Bancorp (New England Bank and Trust). He was an Executive Board Member, General Counsel, and Secretary to the Bank of South Windsor, General Counsel to Tolland Bank, and a Founding Member and Director of Connecticut Bank & Trust Company. He also served as General Counsel to the Town of Tolland.

Wendy has 25 years of in-house and law firm experience, providing legal services to a diverse client base. She partners with small and medium-sized businesses, many of which are owned by minorities, women, and veterans, as well as individuals, to navigate the challenging landscape of legal issues impacting business and everyday life. Wendy was appointed by Governor M. Jodi Rell to the State Contracting Standards Board, which was tasked with overhauling the contracting process for the state of Connecticut. Wendy is a frequent speaker on a range of topics, including contract negotiations and issues impacting the interior design industry.
Wendy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Minors in Communications and International Studies from Boston College. She speaks Spanish. She received her law degree and LL.M. in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law in New York and an LL.M. in Insurance Law from University of Connecticut School of Law.
Wendy is deeply engaged in her community as a PTO President, a youth sports coach, and a volunteer with the Estela Wilderness Education Fund. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix. A native of Bristol, Connecticut, Wendy is the daughter of a Spanish Filipino immigrant and a first-generation Polish American mother. She was the first woman on both sides of her family to graduate from college. Wendy resides in West Hartford with her two daughters, Caroline and Victoria, and two King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, Bella and Dash.

William E. Breslau, at the firm for over 50 years, concentrates in real property and land use matters. He works with financial institutions, developers, and those buying and selling real property. Bill is a graduate of Syracuse University and the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he served on the Board of Editors of the Law Review. He is a member emeritus of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and is Vice Chairman of the Economic Development Commission of the Town of Vernon. Bill has been in private law practice for 40 years and manages the probate, estate planning, elder law, and taxation practices at KKC. He is a member of the American Bar Association Committee on Taxation and the Connecticut Bar Association Committees on Taxation, Estate, and Probate. He is also a member of the Estate and Gift Tax Committee of the Connecticut Society of CPAs and the Tax and Probate Committees of the Connecticut Bar Association. Bill is a Certified Public Accountant and was an adjunct faculty member of the University of Hartford Graduate Tax Program for numerous years, teaching courses in Corporate Tax and Estate Planning.
In addition to his professional activities, Bill is a frequent lecturer on estate planning and tax matters. He was the founder and past President of the Business and Estate Council of Northeast Connecticut. He is involved in many community organizations, including Windham Hospital, Eastern Connecticut Health Network, and AHM Youth Services.
