Jake is a member of the New York State Bar Association. He is admitted in the states of New York, New Jersey, Florida, Maryland, and Illinois. He is also admitted to practice before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Southern District of New York, Middle District of Florida, and Southern District of Florida. Jacob Brainard is part of the firm's litigation team, defending Internet and mobile marketing companies in actions involving the TCPA, the CAN-SPAM Act, consumer class actions, state and federal regulatory actions, and general commercial litigation issues. He also assists companies in handling state and federal agency investigations. Prior to joining the firm, Jake worked for firms in New York and Florida practicing commercial and real estate litigation. He has successfully defended dozens of consumer class action matters in the Internet space, as well as scores of regulatory matters around the U.S. Sean concentrates on litigating Internet, gaming, sweepstakes, gambling law, and intellectual property cases, as well as related regulatory matters. Sean advises clients on all aspects of Internet law, including complex inter-company contracts, online and offline privacy regulations, and FTC regulation.
