Anne Smyth

Anne is a Payroll and Accounts Administrator with KTA, having joined the company in April 2021. Prior to joining KTA, Anne worked in accounts and payroll for the Archdiocese of Dublin for over 18 years. Anne is qualified with IATI.

Brian Broderick

Job Titles:

Brian Broderick is an Associate Director with KTA. Brian is an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) specialising in private client taxation. He has extensive experience in inheritance tax planning and dealing with tax issues relating to the administration of trusts and estates, the tax implications for beneficiaries, advising clients on how to pass assets tax efficiently to the next generation and complex tax compliance relating to cross-border matters. Brian also advises private clients and business owners on how to arrange their affairs tax efficiently, which includes advice on optimising the tax position in Ireland in cross-border scenarios involving double taxation treaties, individuals residing in a number of jurisdictions, assets held outside of Ireland and other related issues. Brian has lectured for the Law Society, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Irish Tax Institute (ITI) and other organisations.

Cian Shanahan

Cian joined KTA in July 2021 as a Trainee Tax Adviser. He graduated from the University of Limerick in 2021 with a first-class honours degree in Law. Cian is currently studying for the CTA qualification.

Eamonn Moroney

Elaine Coll

Elaine is a tax adviser with Kennelly Tax Advisers Limited having joined the firm in August 2010. Elaine graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) with a Bachelor of Commerce where she specialised in accounting and tax. Elaine is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute and a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA). Elaine has been advising private clients for over six years on a broad range of issues such as personal tax, estate planning, trusts and corporate tax. Elaine is a registered Trust & Estate Practitioner (TEP) having recently completed the STEP Diploma in Trust & Estate Planning. Elaine advises on trusts and estates, with a focus on tax compliance matters for trustees, personal representatives and beneficiaries.

Jane Florides - Founder

Jane Florides is a principal and co-founder of KTA. Jane has specialised in the area of private client tax advice since qualifying as a registered tax consultant in 1998, having obtained first place in the final AITI exam. Jane is widely recognised as a leading expert advising high net worth individuals on all matters. A particular area of expertise for Jane is the taxation treatment of complex investment portfolios, offshore funds and related entities. Jane has lectured extensively to STEP Ireland, The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, the Irish Taxation Institute and the Chartered Accountants of Ireland and is regularly asked to speak on Irish tax matters at conferences and seminars. Jane's other main area of expertise is tax residence and domicile planning and her clients include many wealthy non-domiciled individuals living in Ireland.

Joe Coughlan

Joe joined KTA in July 2023 as a Trainee Tax Adviser. He graduated from the University of Limerick in 2023 with a first-class honours degree in Law and Accounting. Joe is currently studying for the CTA qualification.

Lisa Cantillon

Lisa Cantillon is a director with KTA having joined the firm in November 2006. Prior to joining KTA, Lisa worked for Anne Brady McQuillans DFK and Crowe Horwath. Lisa is the co-author of the Irish Tax Institute publication entitled "Practical Income Tax - The Professional's Guide". Lisa is an associate of the Irish Taxation Institute. Lisa also achieved 3rd place in Ireland at Part I of the Associateship examination in 2002. Lisa has a BBS Degree from Waterford Institute of Technology. Lisa has particular expertise in in the expatriate area, advising individuals moving to and out of Ireland and related international pension and social security issues for mobile workers. Lisa also specialises in estate tax planning for gift and inheritance tax for high net worth individuals and their families. Lisa's other main area of expertise is the taxation of severance payments and other employment related tax issues. Lisa has lectured for the Irish Taxation Institute in capital gains tax for the past number of years and continues to lecture on a regular basis. Lisa has been a guest lecturer for various financial advisory organisations in respect of estate tax planning. Lisa is also the chair of the Dublin Chartered Tax Advisers Branch Network and also sits on the Education Committee for the Irish Taxation Institute.

Lorinda Kinnane

Lorinda Kinnane has recently joined us with payroll, finance and administration experience within the leisure sector. Previous to that she worked as an Accountant within a small accountancy practice. Having trained in the UK with the Audit Commission she has a Diploma with CIPFA and is a member of AAT UK. Lorinda is an Arts graduate from UCD.

Niall Connolly

Niall is an associate director with KTA having joined the firm in 2007. Niall has advised private clients and their families on all taxation matters for over 8 years. Niall has particular expertise in advising on the domicile levy, the high income earner's restriction and the taxation of offshore funds for private clients and has presented to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland on these topics in the past. Niall also deals with German property syndicates in the office and advises foreign investors on tax efficient ways of purchasing Irish property. Niall's clients include many wealthy non-domiciled individuals living in Ireland and Niall advises these clients on many issues including in particular how to structure investment portfolios tax efficiently. Niall also specialises in gift and inheritance tax planning for high net worth individuals and their families, structuring Wills tax efficiently and maximising wealth transfers to the next generation. Niall graduated from the University of Limerick (UL) with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Accounting and is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.

Patrick Kinnane

Patrick is a director with KTA. Patrick joined the firm in 2007. He began his career in tax with the Inland Revenue in the UK (1991- 1994). In 1994 he joined Coopers & Lybrand in London and worked in the Private Client Department up to 2001. In 2001 he moved to PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dublin where he worked as a Senior Manager in the Private Client and then Business and Wealth Services Groups up until 2007. He has advised high net worth individuals and owners of private businesses on a range of tax issues arising from sales and restructuring of businesses, trust and estate planning, emigration from Ireland (Portugal and Malta being two countries where he has extensive experience) and taking up residence in Ireland. Patrick has led a number of successful tax appeals for clients in recent years. He is KTA's in-house expert on matters relating to UK tax. Patrick has a degree in Economics and Politics from UCD. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in the UK.

Seán Groarke

Stephen White

Stephen White is a tax adviser with KTA having joined the firm in April 2021. Prior to joining KTA, Stephen worked for Anne Brady McQuillans DFK and Crowleys DFK where he advised clients on a wide range of issues such as personal tax, corporate tax, payroll and VAT. Stephen is an associate of the Irish Tax Institute and has a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from University College Cork.

Susan Donnelly

Susan is a senior tax adviser with KTA having joined the firm in April 2004. Prior to joining, Susan also worked for Ernst & Young. Susan has advised in the area of private clients for over 12 years and has authored a number of articles for specialist journals on tax matters relative to private clients. Susan specialises in the taxation of investments for the past 10 years. She has particular expertise in the taxation of offshore funds and other private equity fund investments. Susan provides bespoke advice and opinions to private clients and investment firms on the taxation of investments. The taxation of investments is a complex area and Susan has spent many years identifying the key factors that determine the tax treatment. Susan's clients are high net worth individuals and therefore Susan also has particular expertise in the high earner's restriction for high net worth individuals, understanding the nuts and bolts of the domicile levy, tax residence and domicile planning and the taxation of offshore trusts. Susan is an associate of the Irish Tax Institute and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Through Susan's client base she has also accumulated a vast amount of experience in VAT and has in addition to her tax and accountancy qualifications completed a Certificate in VAT course with the Irish Tax Institute.
