David Sherman Cook

David Cook has over 40 years active practice of law in Southwest Louisiana, with an emphasis on personal injury litigation. He has litigation and appellate experience in State and Federal Courts. David is AV rated with Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer-reviewed rating for both legal ability and ethics. Since commencing his ADR practice in 1993, David has mediated in excess of 2,500 cases, with a high rate of settlement. He has also served as Attorney Chairman of the Medical Review Panel in over 350 Medical Malpractice Cases. In an annual survey conducted by Acadiana Profile magazine, David is consistently rated among the Top Lawyers of Acadiana.

Lynne R. Stern

Ms. Stern has been a mediator and arbitrator since 1993. Her mediation experience includes numerous multi-party cases as well as sexual harassment, employment discrimination, commercial and personal injury matters. She is on the approved list of mediators for Orleans Parish Civil District Court, the Louisiana Register of Mediators, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Resolute Systems and American Arbitration Association (AAA). She is on the arbitration panels for FINRA and AAA. Ms. Stern has arbitrated employment, commercial, insurance and personal injury matters. She was a Gulf Coast Claims Facility Appeals Judge for matters relating to the 2010 BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Since 2014 she has been one of three Documentation Reviewers for the BP oil spill settlement. She has also conducted mediation training workshops. Ms. Stern is a past Chairman of the ADR Section of the Louisiana Bar Association. Active in the ABA, she is a member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section and former chairman of the Mediation Subcommittee of the Litigation Section's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. Ms Stern has spoken about mediation at several seminars, including those sponsored by the ABA in San Francisco, Boca Raton and Dallas. She was chosen as a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in 2005. Former Commissioner on Historic District Landmarks Commission.

Mildred E. Methvin

Mildred E. "Mimi" Methvin served 28 years as a federal magistrate judge in the Western District of Louisiana before launching her private ADR firm in 2009. In 2014, the Louisiana Supreme Court appointed her to serve as a District Judge Pro Tempore in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, for six months. As a judge, Mimi tried many jury and non-jury cases, and gained extensive experience managing and supervising complex cases from initial discovery through settlement or trial, including a number of class actions, collective actions, and MDL litigation arising from Hurricane Rita. Early in her judicial career, she began hosting settlement conferences to help manage the court's heavy docket, and quickly developed a reputation as a skilled, creative and effective mediator.
