MANSFIELD VET - Key Persons
Where are you from/grew up? Belinda grew up in Willawarrin, NSW, a little country town situated up-river on the Macleay from Kempsey.
Where did you study? Go TAFE, Wangaratta. She also has a Diploma in Conservation and Land Management.
Professional history: She has had an array of positions including: Field technician for Monsanto and the CSIRO developing GMO cotton crops; owner/operator of an earth moving company based in WA. She also holds an Multi Combination licence meaning she can drive a road train!
Where are you from/grew up? Alana spent a lot of her childhood moving around Victoria, including in the Yarra Valley, Echuca where they had a family farm, and Geelong. During her teen and early 20s she spent time in the Mansfield area on holidays and farm placements.
Where are you from/grew up? Kasee grew up in Paxton Hill and spent time around the Yarck area with her husband.
Ellie Sweet is a highly skilled veterinary nurse with 10 years of experience in the field. She joined the Mansfield Veterinary Clinic team in July 2017 and has been an integral part of the practice ever since. Ellie has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and is highly trained in surgery and emergency nursing. She has a special interest in dental nursing, and in 2018, she completed further education in this area.
Ellie has a passion for forming good professional bonds with clients and their beloved pets. She loves being able to help cattle health and is always keen to lend a hand on farm visits. She has a soft spot for dogs, especially cattle dogs, and cows.
When not at work, Ellie enjoys spending time with her family, going on motorbike rides, camping and 4 wheel driving. She has a great sense of humor and loves having a good laugh. Her infectious cackle is always heard throughout the clinic, and she brightens the day of everyone around her.
Emily studied veterinary nursing at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga.
Emily joined the team at Mansfield Veterinary Clinic in 2020 and has been an invaluable member ever since.
Emily has a keen interest in animal reproduction, surgical procedures, and canine and feline dentals.
Emily and her family are animal lovers and have quite the menagerie, including four dogs - Bear, Tully, Ella, and Maggie - as well as three cats - Leo, Simbar, and Ivy. They also have horses, sheep, and cows.
When not at work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her hobbies of fishing and hunting.
Where are you from/grew up? Jess is a Mansfield local born and bred.
Where did you study? She is currently studying vet nursing at Go TAFE, Wangaratta.
Professional history: Jess is a familiar face after working with the Mansfield Vet Clinic years ago in the old clinic premises but has now returned to the brand new clinic.
Where are you from/grew up? She grew in Wonga Park, east of Melbourne, before moving to Mansfield when she was 8 years old.
Where did you study? Maddy went to school at Mansfield Secondary College, then went to Go TAFE Wangaratta for Certificate II in Agriculture and Certificate III in Equine Breeding. Now she is studying her veterinary nurse training with Go TAFE.
Where are you from/grew up? Rayleen grew up in Merbein, a small town just outside of Mildura.
Where did you study? Rayleen completed her veterinary nurse training at TAFE.
Professional history: Rayleen has worked at numerous places including with Dr Ray Horsey (a mobile equine service), Wyndham Veterinary Clinic in Werribee and Ballarat Equine.
Where are you from/grew up? Ruby spent her childhood in Surrey Hills, before moving to Mansfield when she was 12 years old.
Where did you study? Ruby went to school at Mansfield Secondary College and studied for veterinary nursing at Wangaratta Go TAFE in 2019.
Professional history: Ruby has worked locally at Target Mansfield, the Mansfield Pub and then began with Mansfield Veterinary Clinic in 2017.
