Anne Hasting Fiedler

Anne Hasting Fiedler is currently Professor of Music and head of the keyboard area at the University of Evansville. She is a recipient of the prestigious Exemplary Teacher Award given by University of Evansville and also the Outstanding Teacher Award given by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. She was honored as Artist of the Year at the 2016 Mayor's Arts Awards and from 2013-2018 held the title of Oramay Cluthe Eades Distinguished Professor of Music. An active performer, Professor Fiedler was finalist and prizewinner in the National Beethoven Piano Sonata Competition and has collaborated nationally with a variety of soloists and ensembles, notably in performances at International Trumpet Guild Conference and several International Double Reed Society Conferences. She can be heard on the CD entitled Oboe Serenade. Professor Fiedler has been featured soloist on numerous occasions with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, the Evansville Chamber Orchestra and the University of Evansville Orchestra. She performs frequently as collaborative pianist with faculty and guest artists on the First Tuesday Series and Tuesday Night Concert Series sponsored by the music department. Fiedler is also principal keyboard and assistant principal second violin of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. Professor Fiedler's diverse areas of interest and teaching experience include studio piano, music theory, piano pedagogy, and collaborative piano. She has reviewed collegiate theory texts for McGraw-Hill Publishing and regularly presents master classes and serves as an adjudicator for local, state, and regional piano competitions. She is co-founder and first president of the Greater Evansville Chapter of the Indiana Music Teachers Association and has presented at IMTA state conferences. Professor Fiedler holds Bachelor of Music with Highest Honors and Master of Music Degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She currently teaches courses in applied piano and music theory.

Claire Rong

Claire started to play the piano at the age of 4. She is currently taking piano lessons with Mrs. Sueanne Metz. For the past two years with Sueanne, Claire has made rapid progress at piano and has become more and more passionate about classical music.

Elena Selezneva

Elena is a concert pianist and teacher, laureate of Russian and international competitions, a jury member of many international competitions and a member of the Argerich Alink Association of Competitions and Festivals. Elena Selezneva began studying music at the age of 6 in Klin (the city where P. I. Tchaikovsky lived and worked) at the Tchaikovsky Music School. The first teacher was her aunt, a student of the famous pianist Viktor Bunin. From the age of 8, Elena begins to give concerts and at the age of 14 she becomes the winner of the first prize in the competition of the Moscow Region. During this period, the basic principles of sound extraction, work on the form and content of the work are laid. Later, Elena studied with wonderful teachers: Arutyunyan G.T. at the Moscow Regional College. Prokofiev and Malinina I.V. at the Russian Academy of Music. Gnesins. Elena passes on the traditions of the Russian piano school to her students. Elena leads an active concert activity, performing music of various eras and styles.

Irina Iordachescu

Irina Iordachescu is a graduate of the National Academy of Music in Bucharest, and a laureate of international singing competitions such as "G.B. Viotti" - (Italia) - "Cesare Bardelli " Prize; "Silvia Geszty" (Spain) - Third Prize; "Maria Callas" (Greece) - Third Prize; "Vincenzo Bellini " (Italia) - Second Prize; "IVC s'Hertogenbosch" (Holland) -Third Prize & Prize of the Public, ‘'Alfredo Giacomotti ‘' - Second Prize (Italia). Since 2000 she is a permanent collaborateur of the National Philharmonics in Romania and since 2005 one of the main soloists at the Bucharest National Opera. Mozart's "Die Zauberflote", and in 2001 she made her international debut on the stage of "Dante Alighieri" Opera Theatre in Ravenna, in the role of Giulietta from "I Capuleti e I Montecchi " by Vincenzo Bellini, with Mrs Cristina Muti as stage director, in the International Music Festival of Ravenna, Italy. In 2001 she was invited to sing in two vocal-symphonic concerts on the stage of the "Teatro alla Scala" from Milan, Italy, under the musical direction of Maestro RICCARDO MUTI, with the Orchestra and the Choir ‘' of Teatro alla Scala''. In 2007 Irina Iordachescu has made her opera debut on the stage of "TEATRO ALLA SCALA" from Milan, in the main role of Zeyno Kari from "Teneke" by Fabio Vacchi, an opera written by the Italian composer specifically to be represented on the stage of Teatro alla Scala. The international premiere, with a magnificent staging achieved by director Ermanno Olmi and scenographer Arnaldo Pomodoro, was conducted by Maestro Roberto Abbado. In November 2007, in Teatro " Perez Galdos " from Las Palmas, Teatro " Dante Alighieri " from Ravenna and Teatro Comunale di Piacenza from Italy, soprano Irina Iordachescu sang the role of Irene from " Il ritorno di Don Calandrino " by Domenico Cimarosa, an opera recently discovered by Maestro Riccardo Muti. The opera has seen its international premiere in 2007, in Salzburg.

Jeffrey Solow

In addition to performing, Jeffrey Solow is a regular contributor to Strad magazine (London), Strings magazine and American String Teacher and is editor of The Violoncello Society Newsletter (NY). A noted authority on healthy and efficient string playing, he is frequently invited to give lectures and presentations on the subject. His wide-ranging interests include scuba diving and underwater photography, protozoology and paleontology and he graduated with a degree in Philosophy magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA. These attainments as well as his knowledge in many fields outside of classical music give him an exceptional ability to communicate with audiences of all ages and all levels of musical sophistication, both musically and in personal interaction.

Renate Grad

Renate Grad graduated from the Faculty of Musical Performance, Vocal Department, and also has a Master's degree from the National University of Music in Bucharest. Although she studied classical singing, the soloist has always been attracted to pop music, musicals and jazz. She gave concerts of pop and classical music both in the country and abroad (Germany, Hungary).

Rina Sudo

Rina was born in Chiba City in 1987. When she was 5 years old, he moved to Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture, and started playing the piano. At the age of eight, she performed Mozart's concerto with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Naozumi Yamamoto at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, which was well received. Since childhood, she has achieved excellent results in domestic and international competitions. 1st prize at the 2nd Yasuko Fukuda Award Selection Committee, 4th Prize at the 5th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, Japanese highest and youngest 5th prize at the 7th Dublin International Piano Competition (Ireland), and many others, achieving high awards in numerous competitions.

Yulia Berry

Yulia Berry is American flutist of Russian origin. She has regularly performed as soloist and with chamber groups in many venues and festivals in Russia, Ukraine, Europe and USA. She also performed, toured and appeared live on TV with the popular Russian ethno-rock group "Vermicelli Orchestra". Her recent performances include Trio Russe concerts in Boston. Yulia Berry has earned the Doctor of Music Arts (D.M.A.) degree focused in Flute Performance, Pedagogy and Music Education from the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov (Russia) and the Master of Music (M.M.) degree with Majors in Flute Performance, Music Education and Band Conducting with Honors (Cum Laude) from The Saint-Petersburg State School of Music named after M.P. Mussorgsky in Russia.
