Since 1942, Mississippi Industries for the Blind has employed and trained individuals with visual impairments throughout Mississippi, thereby providing opportunities for financial independence and overall self-sufficiency. For over seventy years, MIB has been a respected member of the manufacturing industry, selling a variety of products to national and state agencies, including the iconic Army barracks bags. In the 1980s, MIB opened a satellite facility in Meridian, MS, which specializes in metal works and helps to fulfill the employment needs of the blind community in eastern portion of the state. Because of MIB's long-standing history of high product quality and standards of service, it is no surprise that in 2010, the company became ISO 9001 certified...
