As both a professional and scholar, David G Nix has pursued a wide variety of projects delving into issues of sustainability, real estate development, architectural design, and visual representation. Prior to his graduate study at the University of Pennsylvania, Dave conducted research as a Fulbright Scholar in Tohoku University ™s Department of Engineering, investigating contemporary modes of environmental assessment, sustainable building, and design philosophy in the Japanese and global contexts.

Eduardo Berlin founded MoDe Studio in 2011 consolidating his design and consulting practice into a real estate development "workshop" that challenges the conventional model "where designers execute the developers' vision " by integrating thinking from several disciplines to provide a comprehensive and sustainable development platform. As an architect and entrepreneur, he is interested in social enterprises and information models as catalysts of positive change, market evolution, and community-driven sustainability. He was the 2010 Gramlich Fellow for Emerging Leaders in Community Development, granted by the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies (JCHS) and NeighborWorks America.

As a project manager, her practice has emphasized participatory project planning, facilitation of entitlements, and contract negotiations. She is equally adept in the financial modeling of complex urban projects and master plans encompassing multiple asset classes.
