Andy Whyte

During his time in education, Andy has worked, performed, and composed for various professional ensembles, including jazz bands, rock bands, chamber groups, orchestras, and experimental electronic ensembles. He has taught students of all ages in schools in the UK and strives to make teaching fun while getting students to realise and achieve their potential. In addition to teaching, Andy is a trained recording engineer and producer. He has worked as an assistant at Konk Studios in London and has mixed video game trailer music for Nintendo. He has also worked as a recording engineer at the University of York.

Bronwyn Powell

Bronwyn has another 25 years' experience in Sydney. Classically trained, with a love of Opera and Music Theatre. She has appeared in productions in Sydney and Albury. Bronwyn has prepared numerous students for AMEB Classical, Singing for Leisure and Music Theatre Exams and Eisteddfods.

Damien Jones

Dieter Hartwig

Dieter travelled and lived in the UK and Europe from 1987- 1996 to follow a performing career which combined modern and classical styles. He also studied electronic composition in London under Nick Lang. Dieter has worked with students from all walks of life and abilities. He welcomes students of all ages from 4 years old onwards. His philosophy is that you are never too young or old to start.

Katja Jorgensen

Katja has a Diploma of Music from CQU and has worked for many years as a practising musician and tutor. She offers lessons on Flute, Clarinet, Saxophones, Oboe, drum kit and orchestral percussion. She teaches students of all ages and abilities a range of styles from classical and Jazz through to Musical Theatre and Contemporary as well as preparing students for exams, school assessments/performances and any other performance opportunity that a student may encounter.

Lachlan McIntyre

Lachlan is a classically trained singer, who performed on scholarship with Opera Scholars Australia from 2012-2019, appearing with David Hobson, Marina Prior, James Morrison, Silvie Paladino and Anthony Warlow, among others. Since returning to Albury, Lachlan has enjoyed taking opportunities in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as exciting local projects. These include performing as a soloist under internationally recognised conductor Warwick Stengards (Volksoper Wien, Opera Australia), the new production Musical Island: A Silent Spell at Bondi Theatre, and as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera. His current professional collaborations include performing with touring entertainer Rodney Vincent, and jazz composer Stephen O'Connell.

Lorraine Bradbury

Lorraine has B.Mus (Sydney Uni), AMusA, LMusA. As an accredited AMEB teacher she teaches flute and theory/musicianship. Lorraine worked for many years as a professional flautist with Orchestra Victoria in Melbourne, playing flute, piccolo and alto flute, performing in many operas, ballets and concerts as well as mentoring and tutoring students in regional Victoria. She teaches students of any age or ability, focussing on the student's individual musical interests.

Margot Lennard

Margot joined the Con admin team in 2016 and brought many years of admin experience with her. Margot has a science background, having graduated from uni with a science degree. She has a technical mind that gives her sound problem solving skills. Margot prides herself on her strong work ethic and has trained in conflict resolution as well as mental health first aid.

Mica teaches contemporary, jazz and musical theatre. She has been given opportunities in television, theatre and music scenes in the Philippines, America, Singapore and now in Australia. She has gained experience, appreciation and love for performing arts that she would like to share with her students. Mica has a Bachelor of Education and assists her students to grow their appreciation for music and reach their highest potential.

Oliver Kurukchi

Oliver has an extensive knowledge of music performance and brass technique. He specialises in orchestral brass as well as brass bands. Oliver completed his AmusA on euphonium in 2019 and was the open euphonium champion in the 2023 National Band Competition. Robyn currently teaches Piano, Classical Voice, Musicianship/Theory and Choral classes, and accompanies singers and instrumentalists. Although she prepares students for exams when required, Robyn sees this as just part of a much bigger journey. She has been greatly influenced by the philosophy of Zoltan Kodaly, and is constantly aiming to deepen and expand her own approach to music and life.

Sabine studied piano in Germany and concluded her studies with the Certificate of Graduation from the Advanced Post Graduate Course, additionally to diplomas in both performance (Artistic Diploma Examination) and teaching (Registered Piano Teacher). Sabine teaches students of all ages and abilities; she has vast experience and is happy to prepare students for AMEB exams. Sabine is a dedicated teacher and is always happy to help her students to find their own way to develop self-esteem and to be proud of their achievements.

Sam Bulowski

A former student of the Murray Conservatorium in the 2000's, Sam went on to study a Bachelor of Music Performance (BMUS) at Monash University, including an honours, which specialised in contemporary music styles, jazz, and improvisation on the electric guitar. While studying in Melbourne, Sam spent almost a decade working as a session guitarist, playing alongside prominent upcoming artists such as Rory Mckenna, Jace Excell, & 2008 Australia's Got Talent runner-up Jourdain. Holding a TAE, Sam has over a decade of experience working as a guitar tutor, leading contemporary ensembles ranging through styles such as Pop/Rock/Jazz/Funk/Blues and various sub-genres.

Stephen O'Connell

Stephen joined Murray Conservatorium in 2010 and retired in early 2023. Stephen has come out of retirement to take on the position of ensemble leader for Treble Makers, our recorder ensemble. Stephen has a broad background and training in classical music traditions and has specialized in the fields of jazz, blues, funk, rock and pop with extensive recording and live experience.

Tim Adkins

Tim has an extensive knowledge of music performance and theory. He specialises in classical technique and repertoire as well as South American and Spanish guitar. Tim has a passion for teaching excellence and helping students to achieve their goals and reach their potential.

Tony Smith

Tony also teaches bass guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin and has experience in conducting, composing, arranging, recording and musicianship.
