Mr. Ranjith Ariyaratne was appointed to the Directorate of National Savings Bank on 31.08.2018 as an ex-officio member in terms of the provisions of the NSB Act No. 30 of 1971 on 31.08.2018.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and master's degree in Sociology from the University of Kelaniya. He has also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Peradeniya and in Regional Planning from the University of Kelaniya. Further, he has completed the Certificate Program in Public Administration and General Management and Capacity Building Programme for Sri Lanka Administrative Service Class I Officers from Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration.
Prior to his appointment as the Postmaster General in August 2018 he had served the country by holding various positions during his 22 years of service. District Secretary- Polonnaruwa, Additional Secretary of Social Development, Additional Secretary -Rural Development of Ministry of Social Empowerment and Welfare, Director General of Coconut Development Authority were some of the key positions held by him.
He has undergone extensive training programmes on Child Rights Sensitization in Thailand and Emotional Balancing for Higher Productivity in India. He has also been a resource person at Management Development Training Unit (MDTU) of North Western Provincial Council and North Central Provincial Council and Inservice Training Centre- Police Department, North Central Province.

Mr. Eranga Jayewardene was appointed as a member of the Board of National Savings Bank on 02.01.2020
Mr. Jayewardene currently serves as the CEO of Giga Foods (Private) Ltd.
Prior to this he served as the Director Digitalization at MAS Intimates (Pvt) LTD since 2017 with an overall career at MAS spanning 9.5 years following his move to Sri Lanka. During his tenure he played various leadership roles across the organization as Chief Executive Officer Silueta (Pvt) LTD, General Manager/Director MAS Innovations and General Manager Sourcing & Supply Chain MAS Intimates (Pvt) LTD.
Mr. Jayewardene was employed at Apple Inc. Cupertino, CA, USA as Senior Manager Supply Chain, Planning & Procurement where he was involved in many product launches. He started off his career in 2005 at Cisco Systems, San Jose, CA, USA as a Demand Planning Manager where he spent 2.5 years. Mr. Jayewardene was awarded many leadership awards during his tenure at both companies.
He is a graduate of Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA (2005) where he obtained a Master of Science (MSc.) in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Jayewardene was the first Sri Lankan to be awarded the Bill and Melinda Gates Fellowship which further aided his academic career. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Magna cum laude) in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York, USA (2002).
Mr. Jayewardene is a published author and his research papers have been presented at the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE) annual international symposiums. The research primarily focused on process control for Micro lithography which was conducted at the National Institute of Standard and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD U.S.A.
He was a founding member of a Silicon Valley based start-up that won the PayPal Innovation Award in 2010, which was also featured in several publications spanning from WIRED, NY Times, Boston Globe, CNBC and San Francisco Chronicle.
Mr. Jayewardene has industry experience across local and international organizations and has spoken at international and local conferences.

Mr. M.T.J Perera was appointed to the Board of Directors of National Savings Bank (NSB) in April 2020.
Mr. Perera had served in National Savings Bank for a period exceeding four decades and retired in 2017 as a Chief Manager. He had widely involved in branch operations exposing him to wider spectrum of service delivery.
Mr. M.T.J Perera had served as a member of the Board of Janatha Estates Development Board (JEDB) from 2010 to 2013.
He serves the Boards of subsidiaries of NSB i.e. NSB Fund Management Company Ltd and Sri Lanka Savings Bank.

Ms. Jayawardane was appointed as the Chairperson of National Savings Bank on 26.12.2019.
Having completed her bachelor's degree (Honours) and master's degree in Political Science at the University of Peradeniya, Ms. Jayawardane has served as a lecturer at the same university from 1987 to 2002. She has presented many publications on political science, its practical approaches and impact on the socioeconomic environment of the country during her academic carrier at the University.
Ms. Jayawardane had served as the Chairperson of Kandurata Development Bank (KDB) from 2004 to 2008 and the Chairperson of Regional Development Bank (RDB) from 2011 to 2015. She had entered the political arena in 2009 and was elected as a Member of the Central Provincial Council and served until 2011.
During her tenure at KDB and RDB, she had been able to take initiatives to provide an actual service of a development bank to the people in need by way of introducing customer-oriented service patterns. In addition to her academic achievements, Ms. Jayawardane had been awarded with the title of ‘The Woman Pioneered to Eradicate poverty' by the Sri Lanka United Nations Friendship Organization (SUNFO) in recognition of her utmost efforts to promote entrepreneurship among rural women.

Ms. Manohari Abeyesekera was appointed to the Board of Directors of National Savings Bank on 02.01.2020.
Ms. Abeyesekera serves as the Director - Strategy & Business Development at Fentons Limited- and Director -Hayleys Group Services (Pvt.) Ltd. During her 17-year period at Hayleys Group, she was attached to Hayleys PLC until May 2019, as the Head - Strategic Business Development, responsible for the Group's acquisitions.
Being an Alumnus of KPMG, Ms. Abeyesekera is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA-UK) and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science (1 st Class Honours) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Colombo. She has completed the Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations conducted by the Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute, where she received the Vernon Mendis Memorial Award for excellent results.
Ms. Abeyesekera has been selected to represent Sri Lanka at the Fortune Mentoring Program for female leaders in March 2019 and the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in 2014 by the Dept. of State, USA. She is a recipient of the AOTS Scholarship, Japan in 2015. She has had Executive Education at Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, Asian Development Bank, Manila and BHF Bank, Germany.
Ms. Abeyesekera has served as the Chair of CIMA Sri Lanka Country Network Panel in CIMA's Centenary year 2019, and currently serves as a Member of the CIMA UK Global Member Engagement Committee. She has served as an Executive Committee Member in the International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (2015-2019).
She has been awarded with Women Leadership -Women in Management by SL World Women Leadership Congress -Mumbai and South Asian Partnership Summit- Dhaka. She is a Toastmaster and has spoken at many professional events. Further, she has penned articles in many journals.
