In 1950, on a salty Manteo waterfront, founder Burwell ‘Burl' Evans fulfilled his dream of a hardware store on the Outer Banks. Between he and his wife running the store, it was about as ‘Mom & Pop' as you could get. In the first 10 years of business, the hardware store flooded 12 times, but dedication was key in Evans' heart... Over 65 years later Outer Banks Ace has grown to 6 convenient locations between Dare and Currituck counties... Outer Banks Ace has 6 convenient locations in Dare and Currituck counties. Outer Banks Ace has always been a strong advocate in supporting local economy
