Adam R. Easterling, MD has joined our team of doctors at Clemson Eye! He is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who comes to us from Jervey Eye in Simpsonville where he has been practicing for the past 11 years. While playing varsity baseball for four years, he completed an engineering degree at Georgia Tech with High Honors. Then, Dr. Easterling attended medical school at USC where he graudated Magna Cum Laude, and completed a residency in ophthalmology at Duke University, where he received Resident of the Year and Surgical Excellence awards. Dr. Easterling is very excited about the advanced care he will be able to provide patients at Clemson Eye. If you have been a patient of his in the past, we welcome you! We are actively searching for his new Simpsonville office, but until then, he will be available to see existing and new patients at our Greenville location at 360 Pelham Rd., Greenville, SC 29615. Adam Easterling enjoys church and fellowship, and outdoor activities with his five children and wife, Lee.

Dr. Perumal attended the University of Pennsylvania and received his Medical Degree at Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Perumal has specialized interest and training in all areas of reconstructive and cosmetic oculofacial surgery including periocular skin cancer and lesions, eyelid reconstruction, ptosis repair, cosmetic blepharoplasty eyelid surgery, orbital tumors, entropion and ectropion repair, lacrimal system & tearing disorders and thyroid eye disease. Dr. Perumal works to help patients look their best with facial rejuvenation, using a range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. He performs cosmetic eyelid plastic surgery including "eyelid lifts" or blepharoplasty to achieve a more youthful appearance.

DDr. Riddle is a board certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the South Carolina Medical Association, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the South Carolina Society of Ophthalmology. Dr. Riddle is a sought after speaker and consultant for leading ophthalmologic and pharmaceutical companies.

Dr. Dole Baker received his BS degree in Biology from Bucknell Univeristy and his Medical Degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Baker completed his internship residency in general surgery and Otolaryngology at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Alison Schutt Smith joined Clemson Eye in December 2016. A native of Colorado, Dr. Smith graduated from The Colorodo College with a B.A. in Biology in 2001. She obtained her medical degree from Texas Tech, graduating in May 2006. She completed her internship at Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH and her residency in ophthalmology there in 2010. Dr. Smith received a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Cole Eye institute at the Cleveland Clinic from 2010-2011. After completing her fellowship, she joined the teaching staff at Texas Tech as an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology. She continued teaching at the University of Texas, Southwestern, until February of 2013, when she joined the staff of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville as an associate professor. Dr. Smith resides in Campobello, SC with her two sons and two Burmese Mountain dogs. In addition to being an experienced equestrienne, her other interests include reading, hiking, skiing, and playing the piano.

Dr. Donald Glaser graduated summa cum laude from Washington and Jefferson College and completed his medical doctorate at Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Glaser completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and received advanced surgical training at the Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital. Dr. Glaser is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has practiced in the Upstate since he completed his residency training. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology, including treatment of cataracts and glaucoma. Dr. Glaser recently joined Clemson Eye. He and his wife, Michelle, live in Greenville.

Dr. Joseph Parisi obtained his medical degree from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He interned at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Quebec and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Dr. Parisi and his family relocated to Clemson, SC in 1994. He serves as the medical director and chief ophthalmologist at Clemson Eye in Clemson, SC. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and of the American College of Surgeons. He has performed thousands of microsurgical procedures including cataract surgery, orbital and tear duct surgery and functional eyelid surgery. Dr. Parisi, his wife and their two daughters live in Clemson where they are active members in the community. He also enjoys running, skiing, golfing, playing guitar, cooking, and traveling with his family.

Dr. Saccogna is a board certified Otolaryngologist who also specializes in Facial Plastic Surgery. He has extensive experience with pediatrics.

In August 2017, Dr. Justin Roman joins Clemson Eye after completing a cornea fellowship under the tutelage of Drs. Kerry Solomon and Charlene Grice of Carolina Eyecare Physicians in Mount Pleasant, SC. After becoming a Mechanical Engineer, Dr. Roman decided to pursue a career in medicine at the University of New Mexico, then a residency in ophthalmology at MUSC. We are very excited to have Dr. Roman join us and offer our network of referring physicians his expertise in cornea, external disease, advanced dry eye, cataract and refractive surgery. Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Roman specializes in procedures like corneal transplants, DMEK, DSEK, and cross-linking will also be his central focus. Dr. Roman will accept referrals and see patients in all of the Clemson Eye locations: Anderson, Clemson, Easley and Greenville. Justin Roman is a competitive marathon runner (3x Boston Marathoner), who is excited about returning to the Upstate with his wife, Allison, a Greenville native, and their baby daughter, Riley.

Dr. Montgomery is the co-managing partner of Montgomery & Riddle Eyecare which is a comprehensive eye care practice serving the Upstate of South Carolina with offices located in Clinton, Newberry, Greenville as well as satellite offices in Saluda and Walhalla. Dr. Montgomery offers clinical and surgical treatments in a variety of specialties including bladeless cataract surgery, corneal transplants, LASIK, PRK, and advanced glaucoma treatment. He was the first or among the first in the Upstate to perform/utilize the following technology: ABiC, iStent, Corneal Cross-linking, ECP, Express Shunt, Symfony IOL, Lipiflow, MLT, SLT, and Prokera. Dr. Montgomery has been practicing ophthalmology since 1999 and is a board certified ophthalmologist. His LASIK experience dates back to 2002. His clinical interests and responsibilities include advanced cataract surgery using femtosecond laser and lifestyle lenses, refractive surgery, LASIK and PRK, corneal transplantation and external diseases of the eye. Dr. Montgomery enjoys surgical privileges and is the co-medical director at The Surgery and Laser Center Professional Park, a state-of-the-art Ophthalmic Microsurgery Surgery Center. He also has surgical privileges at the Surgery Center at Pelham. Dr. Montgomery continues to serve as a consulting physician for Greenville Health System and Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Montgomery is a board certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the the South Carolina Society of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Montgomery is on the speaker's bureau for leading ophthalmic and pharmaceutical companies with a focus on cataract, cornea and refractive surgery. Dr. Montgomery enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children. In his free time, his interests include college football, martial arts, hunting and bible study.
