Traditional archery is who we are, not just what we do. It's our passion. It's simple and eloquent, hand crafted products, not machine produced, duplicated over and over, each looking and feeling exactly like all the others. Primitive and traditional products are truly one-of-a-kind custom pieces of functional artwork. I once asked an old bowyer friend of mine why he didn't make a certain style bow that was all the rage. It was what everyone wanted at the time. He replied, "Because it's what everyone else is doing. I do what feels right to me and make the bows I feel good about making. And I sell to the people that feel good about what I make". I couldn't understand, at the time, why he didn't want to make that popular bow. I just figured he was nuts! Today, after running the same company for 31 years, I finally understand. We do what we do because of the passion that drives us. It's who we are, what we believe in, and what makes us feel alive.
