Riskpool offered public liability and professional indemnity cover to its member councils from 1 July 1997 to 30 June 2017, a total of twenty years. At its peak, Riskpool was providing cover to 82 out of a possible 85 district, unitary and regional councils. Over those twenty years, Riskpool collected $128.6 million in member contributions (including additional contributions) and as at 30 June 2021 it had paid its member councils $170.1 million in claims.
