What a pleasure it is to have Elliot join our team! Elliot received his undergrad degree in biology at ECU at Greenville. He then became a Ross graduate in St Kitts, completing his final year at NC State college of veterinary Medicine. With an always positive smiling, attitude he has displayed exceptional diagnostic and surgical skills. Ok Ok I may be a tad biased since he's my son! (-:
So happy to welcome our newest veterinarian! Dr Jenny Atkins. Jenny is another home-grown Outer Banker. Jenny grew up with horses and always had a natural love for all animals. After completing her undergrad degree in St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, NC, she went to Ross veterinary school in St Kitts, finishing her final year at University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. I can't say enough about her amazing surgical and diagnostic skills! Jenny is such a pleasure to have on our team!!!
Dr Grossman and Dr Burkart met at Virginia Tech in their first year of veterinary school in 1984. After graduating from veterinary school they both pursued Master's Degrees at the University of Georgia. Dr Burkart in Medical Microbiology and Dr Grossman in toxicology. Upon receiving their Master's Degrees, they began their careers in clinical veterinary medicine working in a small animal practice in Columbia SC.
Dr. Parker is born and raised on the Outer Banks in Kitty Hawk. She is true local of the Outer Banks and loves her home! She has been with us for over five years as a technician while completing her DVM education but now we are excited to add her to our veterinary team! Megan always has a positive attitude and a smile for everyone.
She went to undergrad at NC State and graduated with an animal science degree and an agricultural business degree. Go Wolfpack! She completed veterinary school at Lincoln Memorial College of Veterinary Medicine in Tennessee, class of 2021. She is excited to come back to her hometown and give back to all the families and pets that supported her in achieving her goals.
Meet our absolutely fantastic veterinary assistant Kasey Jung. Kasey is another incredible asset to our hospital. She is a natural with all animals and can accomplish anything she sets her mind to. Here she also is comforting another Arctic Fox recovering from surgery after being castrated.
I cannot say enough good things about Sarah. She is the heart and soul of the receptionist team. She's smart as a whip, compassionate, and loves our patients and their owners. And she remembers EVERYTHING!
