In 2006, after practicing internal medicine for over 30 years, Dr. Richard Abrams founded Colorado Preventive Medicine (CPM) to pioneer a new model for preventive health care. Noting that traditional health care is primarily reactive and personal, Dr. Abrams established a state-of-the-art center that was proactive and collaborative. The mission was simple - identify health risks and modify them; diagnose disease before symptoms appear when cure is possible; teach optimal health habits; and provide peace of mind.
