Dennis Hertlein has led the design and implementation of C+H's multi-family/mixed-use urban infill projects since he joined the firm in 1988. He has also guided the firm's efforts in hospitality, retail and other related building typologies.
Dennis brings a focus and passion to the firm's developer driven engagements. He understands that programming and financial goals must be fully tested at the beginning of the project. His comprehensive approach to design creates value and results in functionally efficient and aesthetically appropriate solutions to each project that he undertakes.
James Choate is an award-winning architect who has led C+H as a principal for over 30 years. He has spent the last three decades exploring the syntax of different architectural languages, old and new, used to create buildings. In each opportunity to practice, he considers as important steps listening closely to client wishes, observing intently the context of site, and crafting carefully the componentry used to realize a design.
His work includes single-family residences, clubhouses, educational, institutional and commercial projects.
