SCHOHARIE COUNTY COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM

SCCAP is part of a nationwide network of 1,000+ agencies and one of 49 in New York State incorporated to address the causes of poverty. Programs administered under SCCAP's umbrella focus on addressing the barriers families face while seeking to overcome economic instability. SCCAP's primary goal has not changed in 56 years. An evolving base of programs, services and wrap-around supports such as energy reduction measures, child care resource and referral, health and nutrition, access to health insurance, free tax preparation, employment and training, family support and resources, mentors, supervised visitation and more provide a comprehensive system of support.
