SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENT & FURNITURE ASSOCIATION

The Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association (SEFA) was organized in 1988 to meet the needs of an important industry of lab designers and manufacturers of laboratory furniture. A company whose work is principally in this industry can be eligible for membership. SEFA's members work closely with laboratory owners, architects, contractors and others to advance the goal of creating a safe "Laboratory Grade" environment... Nearly ten years ago SEFA's Membership voted unanimously in favor of an amendment to the SEFA By-Laws requiring all manufacturing members of the association and those wishing to become members, to submit a certified test report from a SEFA-approved test lab, establishing that they manufacture at least one "laboratory grade" product the complies with a SEFA Standard. SEFA maintains lists for each of the Standards which contain the name of the company along with the model name and/or number for the product(s) successfully tested.
