Andrew Hall M.

Andrew Hall M.A., LPCC-S has a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Akron. He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervision designation (LPCC-S). He has day and evening office hours at the Fountain Office in Sterling. Andrew has worked in the mental health field for the past 25 years in both community mental health and private practice settings. He works with individuals, groups, couples and families from many different backgrounds and life circumstances. Andrew is married with two grown children and enjoys reading and spending time with family. He attends Wooster Grace Church and is active in an Adult Bible Fellowship and men's small group.

Beverly Steiner R.

Beverly Steiner R.N., M.A.,LPCC has a Master's Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Previously a nurse, Beverly's experience of being an adoptive mom inspired interest in the field of counseling. Beverly strives to help children suffering the effects of early trauma, abuse or neglect. She has acquired additional training in Trust-Based Relational Interventions from the TCU Institute of Child Development (http://www.child.tcu.edu). Beverly also assists adult clients who are suffering with various mental health or relational issues. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Research supports the effectiveness of this treatment approach for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). There are also EMDR adaptations for therapy focuses on depression, grief, attachment and relational therapy. Beverly is married and has 6 adult children and 11 grandchildren. Some of her hobbies are cooking, reading, nature, and music. She is grateful that Jesus came to give us abundant life in the midst of pain, sin and suffering. She loves working beside the Great Physician as He compassionately guides us toward wholeness.

Brian Gerber

Brian Gerber, LPCC-S is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master's Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. Brian enjoys working with persons with severe & persistent mental health concerns and is happy to incorporate the Bible in treatment. In addition to counseling, Brian works part-time as a minister. He has been married to Andrea for over 30 years and has 5 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Brian enjoys music, time with family members, watching football and listening to sermons.

Cameron Baylor

Cameron Baylor, LPC, has a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling from Malone University. She has experience working with adults, teenagers, children, families, groups, and the Amish culture. Prior to becoming a counselor, Cameron worked in the non-profit sector. Clients may request the opportunity to explore or utilize Christian values in their counseling process. Besides providing counseling at SpringHaven, Cameron enjoys serving within her local church, being with friends and family, and reading good books.

Chrissy Fratena

Chrissy received her Bachelor's of Science in nursing at Malone University and her Master's of Science in nursing at Kent State University. She is board certified as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in psychiatric nursing. In her nearly 20-year nursing career, she has cared for patients throughout inpatient, residential, and outpatient mental health settings, as well as working as an instructor of nursing at Akron University and Malone University. She currently provides medication management at SpringHaven.

Dave Stauffer

Dave Stauffer, M.A., LPCC-S has a Master's Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S). Dave is the Executive Director of SpringHaven and has worked in several different capacities in community mental health, residential, and private practice settings over the past 30 years. In addition to his administrative experience, he has experience working with adults, couples, teens, children, families, groups, and court mandated individuals. Dave is available to see clients at the Mt. Eaton office as his schedule allows. Clients may request the opportunity to explore or utilize their faith in their counseling process. Dave is married and has five adult children. He lives on a small farm and enjoys spending time outdoors including camping, mountain biking, hunting and cutting firewood.

Dawn Wenger

Dawn Wenger, LPCC-S Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor Dawn Wenger M.A., LPCC-S, has a Master's Degree in Licensed Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She has experience working with adults, teens, children, families, and groups. Her background is in community mental health doing intensive home-based therapy for children, adolescents and their families. She also has experience working with alcohol and drug recovery groups for adults. Most recently she has gained experience working at an international school as a mental health counselor for elementary through high school students. She treats adults, adolescents, children and groups at SpringHaven's Mt. Eaton & Fountain office. Biblical Christian values are the foundation of her life and clients may request to explore or utilize Christian values during the counseling process. Dawn provides counseling at SpringHaven four days a week with daytime and evening hours available. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being in nature and listening to music. Ethan Steiner

Ethan Steiner, LPCC has a Masters Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Akron. He previously worked full-time for Springhaven, then retired from counseling to work full-time on his family's dairy farm. He restarted working part-time for Springhaven in 2021. In 2023, Ethan and his family moved to Illinois, and Ethan continues to work with clients through Springhaven. He is open to working with teenagers and adults. Ethan is married with six children. Other than counseling, Ethan also is a high school teacher/administrator in Forrest, IL.

Greg Shaver

Greg is currently taking new patients at our Mt. Eaton location. He is available 5 days per week with daytime and evening hours available. Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and three grandchildren. He enjoys woodcarving, woodworking and spending time in the outdoors.

Janice Hershberger

Janice Hershberger, LPCC-S Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor Janice Hershberger MA., LPCC-S has a Master's Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. She has also done post graduate work through the Institute for Sexual Wholeness at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S). In addition to having over twenty-five years experience in clinical counseling she has been involved in training counselors as an adjunct professor in the counseling program at Ashland Theological Seminary. Janice has experience treating a wide variety of issues through both individual and group therapy with a special interest and training in treating survivors of childhood sexual abuse as well as other sexual issues. Her faith in Christ is foundational to the way in which she views life. She desires to assist clients to find joy and freedom on their spiritual journey as well. Married to an ordained minister, she also has a special interest in the needs of pastors and their spouses. Janice has three adult children and four grandchildren. Jon Bohley

Jon Bohley M.A., LPCC-S has a Master's Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S). Jon is the Clinical Director of SpringHaven and is able to treat mental health and alcohol/drug problems and supervise therapists working on their independent licensure. Jon has experience treating a wide variety of issues from his background in community mental health. He has office hours at both of SpringHaven's locations and treats adults, adolescents, children, couples, families and groups. Kara Troyer

Kara Troyer, MSW, LISW-S has a Master's Degree from the University of Akron School of Social Work. She has a background in community mental health, long-term care, and hospice. She has an understanding of needs for the aging population and their families. She is familiar with the Plain Community culture. She has experience treating severe and persistent mental illness, complex trauma, depression, and OCD. Kara is trained in EMDR. She is a therapist at our Mount Eaton office and Woodside Rest. Clients may request the opportunity to explore or utilize their faith in the counseling process. Kara is married and is the mother of 2 children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and reading.

Laura Barr

Laura Barr, MD is a board-certified family physician with 20 years of experience who joined SpringHaven in March 2018. Originally from the Cleveland area, she graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and did her residency in family medicine at The Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in Boise, Idaho. She practiced rural family medicine in Millersburg from 2001-2016 before taking time away to address some health issues. Through her own health journey, she developed a passion for mind-body and whole person-centered approaches to care. She is grateful for the opportunity to bring this broader perspective to her work as a family physician at SpringHaven. She lives near Millersburg with her husband and 2 sons.

Laurie Johnson

Laurie has experience treating a wide variety of issues and working with all age groups. Laurie works from the Mt. Eaton and Fountain offices with limited daytime and evening hours. At this time she is not taking new clients, but if you have seen her in the past, she is willing to discuss reengaging, with the understanding that hours are limited. Laurie has been married for 45 years and has 4 grown children, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She loves to ride her bike, read and knit along with spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Malinda Eberly

Malinda Eberly, LSW Licensed Social Worker Malinda Eberly, LSW has a Master's Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She has experience working with adults, teens, children, families, groups, and Plain Communities. She has specialized in trauma and research. Her research work has centered on the cause and prevention of sexual abuse within insular religious communities. Other projects and experience has been with non-profit administration, mental health, and trauma focused services for underserved inner city communities and community re-entry programs, in addition to, religious communities. She is passionate about advancing research and evidence-based practice to raise awareness and lower stigma to transform how we engage with whole person wellness using the biopsychosocial + spiritual model. Mark Snavely

Dr. Snavely practices general psychiatry in close collaboration with the staff at SpringHaven. After growing up locally, he attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati and later completed specialty residency training in psychiatry and is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In addition to his outpatient practice at SpringHaven, he attends patients at Aultman Hospital Department of Psychiatry in Canton. Dr. Snavely lives near Mt. Eaton with his growing family, where he enjoys working on the farm.

Mark Weaver

Mark Weaver, M.A., LPCC-S holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Mark has served 37 years in the mental health field which has included being the Clinical Coordinator of Rapha at Richland Hospital (a faith-based inpatient psychiatric program) and 35 years working in the community mental health arena. He has provided both clinical and administration supervision at times during his years of practice. As a clinical counselor, Mark is able to independently diagnosis and treat mental and emotional disorders. Mark has a history of providing mental health services that include vocational services, psycho-social rehabilitation, crisis services, community education and prevention services, and psycho-therapy. He has provided treatment to all age ranges and to individuals from a wide variety of beliefs, values, and lifestyles. His treatment experience has included group, individual, and inter-personal relationship therapy. He has a treatment approach that has a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Treatment that is trauma informed and relationship based and has a strong emphasis on self-care, personal growth, and healing practices. Mark has a long background of helping individuals integrate their Christian faith into their treatment and move toward wholeness. He also provides training and education services to a wide array of groups and organizations. Mark is married, has four children, and an ever-growing number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and his wife have a history of foster parenting. They enjoy a variety of activities including "adventure" hikes, biking, swimming, an assortment of playground activities, visiting museums, and involvement in small groups and ministries. He likes exercise and holds a black belt in Kenpo Karate.

Petr Janousek

Petr Janousek, LSW has a Master's degree from the College of Social Work at Ohio State University. He has experience in outpatient therapy as well as school and home-based therapy. Native of the Czech Republic (former Czechoslovakia), Petr lived under a communist regime and has an understanding and experience with oppression, persecution, and cultural issues. He enjoys working from a spiritual, faith perspective. Petr is married and likes to spend time with his wife - walking their dogs, traveling, or just hanging out. He also enjoys conversations about the Lord Jesus and the Kingdom of God, reading, and running to stay healthy and strong. He is active in his local church serving on the board as well as various ministries.

Rachel Allison M.

Rachel Allison M.A., LPC has a Master's Degree in Mental Clinical Health Counseling from Liberty University. Rachel has practiced working with children, adolescents, young adults and geriatrics, she has experience in grief and recovery counseling, working with foster care families, and play therapy. Christian values are important to Rachel and can be explored further in the therapeutic environment. Rachel currently leads three groups a week for the Woodside Rest program and is available three days a week with morning, afternoon and evening hours. Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and son, watching football and cooking.

Renee Bright

Renee specializes in the treatment of postpartum depression, anxiety disorders, parenting, marriage and relationship issues. She is a public speaker, and group leader for Living Well. She treats adults and adolescents, couples, groups and families at Springhaven's Mt. Eaton office. Clients may request the opportunity to explore or utilize Christian values in their counseling process. Renee is married and has three children. She enjoys spending time with her family, leading a mom's Bible study at her church, reading, and jogging.

Tiana Hochstetler

Tiana Hochstetler, LPC, has a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College. She has experience treating teens, adults, and the Amish culture. Tiana is passionate about providing support and understanding while walking with clients through their difficulties. Clients may request the opportunity to explore or utilize Christian values in their counseling process. Tiana works at the Mt. Eaton office four days a week with daytime and evening hours available. When she is not at Spring Haven, Tiana enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, kayaking, and traveling to new places.
