Our industry is tremendously innovative, entrepenureal and traditionally rate-of-return focused. Our challenge is that IOR processes are typically more strategic in nature, with a unique economic cash flow profile, generally higher OPEX, and more challenging reserve booking scenarios compared to a traditional drilling project. We need to apply the mindset and innovation of the shale revolution to improving recovery factors using IOR processes. We only need to look at the tremendous progress reducing drilling cost/ft, and emissions as examples of what a singular focus can achieve. Let's embrace the challenge!...
