Brendon Whitney

Job Titles:
  • Director of Utilization Management
Brendon has 9 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, he started with Stonecrest as the Director of Utilization Management in September of 2023. Brendon has an extensive history in Inpatient Behavioral Health Utilization Management in prior positions at Beaumont Behavioral Health and Havenwyck Hospitals from 2018 until 2023. He has worked in various areas of his profession including Utilization Care Manager (Macomb County Community Mental Health 2016-2018) and operating his own private practice therapy clinic from 2014-2018. Brendon received his master's In Counseling Psychology at Oakland University in 2014.

Brittany Peterson - CFO

Brittany Peterson is the Chief Financial Officer at StoneCrest Center with expertise in finance. She has worked the last 18 years in finance and the last four in the behavioral health setting. Ms. Peterson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting. When not working, Ms. Peterson enjoys spending time with her family.

Elliott Brown - COO

Job Titles:
  • Director of Operations
Elliott assumed the role of director of operations at StoneCrest Center in July 2018. He graduated in 2012 from Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University, earning two Bachelor of Science degrees in neuroscience and history, philosophy, and sociology of science. Elliott has eight years of psychiatric healthcare experience. He began his career as a mental health technician supervisor in 2012, directly overseeing patient care until 2015. Elliott went from direct patient care to an administrative role within the field of psychiatric services, serving as the manager of operations for StoneCrest Center from 2016 to 2018. Elliott has four years of project management experience. He is responsible for overseeing StoneCrest Center's construction renovations and expansions, Environment of Care/Life Safety code compliance, and daily plant operations. Elliott is a participating member in the Michigan Society for Healthcare Engineering (MiSHE).

Janee Benner

Jodie Rau

My name is Jodie Rau, I am the lucky mom of two beautiful teenage sons and the roommate to several furry friends. As a nurse, I have had the honor of working with many people during some of the most difficult times in their lives. From these moments I have learned that life can be challenging, messy, and beautiful. When I came to Stonecrest, I had no idea that it would become a part of me and that I would dedicate myself to its function. I have been fortunate enough to be able to serve Stonecrest and our community in several capacities. From direct patient care, education, and management to my current role as the Director of Admissions. I love being a part of something bigger than life and look forward to embracing the challenges that come my way!

Paul Anderson - COO

Paul received his Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and Masters of Social Work from Wayne State University. Paul brings 20+ years of social work experience to SCC. His past experiences include direct care worker for Havenwyck Hospital, child and family therapist for several outpatient and foster care clinics, and clinical manager for Gateway Community Health. Most recently, Paul has spearheaded the start-up and coordination program for the developmentally disabled population for Hope Network - Macomb County.

Sara Mansour

Sara began her role as the Business Office Director in August 2017. Sara has been with Acadia since 2014 when she started as a Team Lead Billing Specialist. She was also the Assistant Business Office Director prior to becoming the Business Office Director at StoneCrest. She has over 16 years of healthcare experience in medical billing & coding, both inpatient and outpatient. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2009 with her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

Shari Alder

Sharon Norris

Job Titles:
  • Director of Business Development
Sharon joined the team in August 2016. Sharon came to StoneCrest Center as a Director of Business Development from Select Specialty Hospital. Previously, Sharon spent 12 years as a pharmaceutical/hospital representative. Sharon is a Registered Nurse and spent 10 years working as a hospital nurse in the Detroit area. Sharon has a BSN from Madonna University.

Steve Savage - CEO

Steve assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at StoneCrest on September 1st, 2010. Prior to that, he held the post of Chief Operating Officer at StoneCrest Center. Steve has 20 years of health care experience in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining the StoneCrest team, he held the position of Vice President of Operations for Gateway Community Health. Steve holds his Master's Degree in Counseling from Oakland University and his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Wayne State University. Steve has completed course work towards his Master's Degree in Health Care Administration at Central Michigan University.
