Liz Klos has been in development for more than 25 years, building her career on her dedication to bettering the communities we live in. She joined THAW in April 2020 to lead individual, major gift, corporate and foundation, and grant fundraising efforts, event management, and marketing and communications initiatives. Klos has significant development experience in higher education, healthcare, and arts and culture. Klos grew up in New York. She earned her BA from Michigan State University in political science and sociology, and her Masters of Public Administration in nonprofit management from New York University.

Senior Vice President of Property Management for Beanstalk Real Estate Solutions

Krista Capp is the Senior Vice President of Property Management for Beanstalk Real Estate Solutions, a women minority-owned startup in Detroit, which has grown to almost 4 million square feet of space under management since its inception. She has over 25 years of experience in property and asset management starting in Metro Detroit and spanning into markets in Florida, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota and Ohio. Krista decided to bring her skills and family back to her hometown of Detroit in 2015 and joined the Beanstalk Team in 2019. Krista has gained a vast knowledge base in all aspects of property management including historic rehabilitation and new development planning, construction, leasing, operating and capital budget planning, marketing for both retail and commercial properties as well as residential experience in market-rate multi-family and income-restricted housing. Krista is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and an executive board member with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). She holds the Housing Compliance Certified Professional (HCCP) designation awarded by the National Association of Builders and she is the past President of the BOMA and IREM Iowa chapters. While in Iowa, Krista served as a Board Member for the YMCA Supportive Housing Campus with a mission to eliminate homelessness by working with the Housing First Model to provide support services such as transportation, food, clothing and personal items as well as aid in rental assistance. Krista is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a degree in Business Administration and has achieved an Executive Certificate of Business from Drake University.
