JILL SEALE

Dr Seale has been a licensed physical therapist for 20 years. She is a Neurologic Certified Specialist and has practiced almost exclusively in the field of Brain Injury and Stroke rehabilitation. Jill is the Director of Neuromuscular Studies at Endicott College and received her PhD from Texas Woman's University. She has a variety of teaching experiences, in physical therapy academia as well as in the health care community at large. She has served as core faculty in a neurological physical therapy residency program, is adjunct faculty at the Baylor College of Medicine Master of Orthotics and Prosthetics program, and teaches in several online and onsite continuing education programs. She has taught and presented in the areas of neurological pathology, rehabilitation, gait, orthotics, and research, and is currently involved in clinical research in stroke rehabilitation, orthotic management, and gait analysis/rehabilitation.

LORI A. SCHRODT

LORI A. SCHRODT, PT, M.S., PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Western Carolina University (WCU) where she teaches geriatric and neuromuscular physical therapy content. Additionally she is lead physical therapist of the WCU Balance and Fall Prevention Clinic. Lori brings 25 years of clinical experience having earned a BS in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and her MS and PhD in Human Movement Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also completed a doctoral fellowship through the UNC Institute on Aging. The focus of her clinical practice and research interests involve both neurological disorders and community-based balance and fall prevention programs and issues related to healthy aging. She also serves as a content expert for several regional and statewide fall risk screening and prevention programs. Lori is a member of the North Carolina Fall Prevention Coalition, the Western North Carolina Fall Prevention Coalition, the Academies of Geriatric and Neurologic Physical Therapy of the APTA, and currently serves as Chair of the Health Promotion and Wellness SIG of the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy. She was the recipient of the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association- 2012 Excellence in Clinical Practice Award and is a current Parkinson's Foundation Physical Therapy Faculty Scholar. She is a clinician, researcher and educator, and considered to be one of the leading therapists in the fields of balance and fall prevention in the United States.

ROBBIE LEONARD

Dr. Leonard is a nationally recognized therapy speaker in the areas of Medicare regulations, administrative processes, billing and coding and outpatient therapy compliance. She has given many presentations at the APTA PPS Annual Conference, CSM and numerous continuing education conferences around the country. She has received multiple awards for her teaching skills and believes that a little humor makes dry subjects much more palatable. Often written in course evaluations, "I expected dry and boring, but got engaging and fun instead and information I can take home and use." Dr. Leonard believes in lifelong learning and recently received her certification in Healthcare Compliance by the Healthcare Compliance Certification Board. She also completed her transitional DPT in 2017 from the University of Montana. She holds a certificate in Lean Healthcare from Belmont University, Massey Graduate School of Business. As an active APTA member since 1986, she believes that all therapists should be involved in their professional associations. She has served in multiple roles at both the National and State level. She is currently on the APTA SC Payment and Policy Committee, the Chair of the APTA PPS Program Work Group and serves on the Billing and Payment Expert Panel for the APTA. Dr. Leonard has had a variety of experiences in the rehabilitation industry and brings real life experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and administrative service settings. When asked what she does for a living, she will jokingly tell you - "I help people get paid correctly and try to keep people out of hot water." Both are necessary for outpatient therapy owners and practitioners.

TRAVIS EDWARDS

TRAVIS EDWARDS, PT, MPT, is a clinician, author and educator who currently serves as a clinic manager for CarePartners Health Services with teaching responsibilities in vestibular rehabilitation and neurodevelopmental treatment in the Doctoral Physical Therapy Program at Western Carolina University. Additionally, he serves on the board of the Western North Carolina Falls Coalition, which is dedicated to reducing the risk of falls in older adults. Travis has completed the rigorous Competency Certification Program in Vestibular Rehabilitation at Emory University Medical Center and is the lead therapists at CarePartners Balance and Vestibular Center. His clinical practice focuses on vestibular rehabilitation, dizziness and balance and falls prevention. He most recently co-developed a balance and falls-risk screening program that encompasses multiple service lines including inpatient, home health and outpatient programs. He combines an eclectic clinical approach with academic experience in applying evidence based principles to the examination and management of vestibular dysfunction. He continues to write and teach in the areas of vestibular rehab, dizziness, and balance and falls related issues while remaining an invaluable resource to his community and the state of North Carolina.
