Clare McKay

Clare practises primarily in commercial litigation and arbitration. She has experience in energy and resources, mining, telecommunications, and shareholder disputes and is frequently instructed to advise on both private and public law. Prior to being called to the Bar, Clare was an Associate to the Hon Susan Crennan AC QC at the High Court of Australia and the inaugural Associate to the Hon Justice James Edelman at the Supreme Court of Western Australia. Clare practised as a solicitor in the International Litigation and Arbitration group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom (UK) LLP in London, working on major international commercial arbitrations and large scale commercial and public law litigation. She also worked on commercial and taxation litigation at King & Wood Mallesons in Melbourne. Clare has taught law at the University of Western Australia, the University of New South Wales, and the Australian National University. She has published on equity and trusts, torts, and public law. Clare holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia. Clare ranked first in law in her graduating class at UWA with 11 academic prizes.

Felicity Maher

Felicity has a broad commercial practice, which currently has an advisory focus. Felicity has experience in large-scale banking litigation, insolvency and bankruptcy disputes, and general commercial litigation. She has acted for banks and other financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, large and small corporations across a broad spectrum of industries, and individuals. She has appeared as counsel in the WA and NSW Supreme Courts, the Federal Court and the English High Court and County Courts. Before joining Quayside Chambers Felicity was a solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons (then Mallesons Stephen Jaques) in Perth, a Judicial Assistant to the then Master of the Rolls, Lord Phillips, in the Court of Appeal in England, and an Assistant Parliamentary Counsel in the English Parliamentary Counsel Office in London. Felicity practiced as a barrister in London for five years and in Sydney for two years. She is an Associate Member of 3 Verulam Buildings Chambers in London. Felicity currently holds a Senior Lectureship at the Law School of the University of Western Australia, where she teaches and researches in various private law subjects. Felicity has a particular interest in the law of restitution and unjust enrichment.

Jennifer Flinn

Jennifer joins the Bar with over 20 years of legal experience. Throughout her career, she has held senior legal roles in private practice, in-house, and with government, cultivating a diverse practice spanning workplace relations, commercial law, and administrative law. With an extensive background in workplace relations, Jennifer has advised employers and senior executives in a wide range of employment and industrial relations matters. She has represented clients before the Fair Work Commission and Federal courts, handling disputes related to enterprise agreement interpretation, unfair dismissal, adverse action, and unlawful discrimination. Jennifer's experience includes enforcing confidentiality and non-compete obligations in the Supreme and Federal courts. Jennifer has also represented the Fair Work Ombudsman in matters relating to the Fair Work Act 2009. Her litigation experience encompasses prosecuting corporations for failure to comply with continuous disclosure obligations, handling claims against directors for breach of duties, defending a claim of malicious prosecution, and prosecuting large insurance, breach of contract and trade practices claims. In gaining proficiency in administrative law, she has acted as General Counsel for a public university and held the position of Director and Senior Executive Lawyer at the Perth office of the Australian Government Solicitor. Jennifer's expertise includes representing agencies before State and Federal administrative tribunals, advising on reporting obligations, and providing guidance on decision-making processes.

Jennifer Solliss

Jennifer Solliss is a barrister with a wide ranging practice in both commercial disputes and criminal law. Jennifer was Associate to the Honourable Newnes JA of the Supreme Court (Court of Appeal) and subsequently spent several years working in the commercial litigation team at Minter Ellison. During this time, she advised on a range of commercial disputes involving contractual, corporate, real property and construction issues as well as enforcement and winding up proceedings. Jennifer acted for individuals, corporations and government entities. Jennifer has also worked as a criminal defence lawyer for Legal Aid in the remote Pilbara region of Western Australia. She acted for both adults and children in relation to State and Commonwealth offences. This role required regular contested advocacy work.

Neha Dubey

Neha Dubey has a wide-ranging practice in commercial, public and international law and has litigation experience across a number of areas and jurisdictions (such as the High Court, Federal Court, Supreme Court of WA, Warden's Court of WA, AAT, ILOAT, UNDT). She has a particular focus on fraud, tax, regulatory matters, disciplinary proceedings, employment law and general commercial disputes. In Australia, Neha began her career as the Associate to the Hon. Justice Corboy of the Supreme Court of Western Australia before working for top tier commercial law firms in Perth and Hong Kong. She also worked in the litigation team of the Australian Tax Office. Internationally, Neha has worked at UNAKRT in Phnom Penh, is instructed by numerous treaty-based organisations and multilateral development banks, and advises the Athletics Integrity Unit in Monaco. Neha is fluent in French and Hindi. She is also a Legal Officer in the Navy Reserve.

Having spent time as in-house legal counsel at Rio Tinto, Rachel understands the importance of maintaining a strong commercial focus and ensuring that legal solutions align with her clients' objectives and values. Rachel consistently delivers pragmatic legal advice that is underpinned by a clear legal strategy. Rachel acts on behalf of private entities and government instrumentalities, including individuals, large listed companies, joint venture participants and regulatory bodies. She has appeared as counsel in the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, and state courts and tribunals in Western Australia (including the Supreme Court, District Court and Magistrates Court). Prior to being called to the Bar, Rachel was a senior associate in the litigation and dispute resolution team at Allens.
