Mr. Kofi Essuman

Kofi Essuman is a committed professional, very passionate about training and implementation of value chain strategies particularly in the fields of Packaging & Product Development, Quality Management, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Care. He holds a certificate in packaging from the School of Packaging, Michigan State University, a Master of Science degree in Food Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Nutrition from the University of Ghana, Legon. With an outstanding 40 years' experience in the food manufacturing industry and International Agencies, Kofi currently serves as Chairman of the Management Board of GS1 Ghana, a not for profit international standards organization best known for barcodes. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Royal Crown Packaging Limited, Ghana. His industry experience includes supervisory and management roles at Cocoa Processing Company, Tema Food Complex Corporation and Unilever Ghana Ltd. He was Senior Adviser at the International Trade Centre (ITC), a UN Agency in Geneva with responsibility for Supply Chain Management and Packaging Training and later as ITC Programme Coordinator in Fiji. He also served as CEO of GS1 Ghana for six years. Kofi has published and reviewed several articles in the fields of Fresh and Processed Fish, Packaging, Sustainable Development and Agriculture. He has authored one WPO Position Paper, and presented papers at many national and international workshops and conferences he has served on national technical committees on standards. Some of his notable achievements include the founding of the Institute of Packaging Ghana, establishment of GS1 Ghana, and founding of the African Packaging Organization. Over the years. Kofi has been a consultant for a number local and international companies, the FAO and UNIDO providing technical and advisory support to a number of projects in Ghana and Africa. He also has over 10 years of part time lecturing experience in Food Packaging at the Department of Food Process Engineering, University of Ghana, Legon, and recently Packaging Value Chain at the Department of Wood Science, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

Nerida is also a full member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA), a Member of the International Packaging Press Organisation (IPPO), a full member of the Australian Institute of Packaging and is the youngest and first female to have ever received Life Membership to the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia for her significant contribution to the association and the wider industry. Her articles are published in an extensive range of publications across Australasia on a regular basis. With over 27 years' experience in Association & Event Management and Public Relations Nerida has spent the majority of her career working with non-profit industry-based educational organisations and has extensive experience in working with volunteer driven associations.

Ms. Soha Atallah - CMO

Soha Atallah is an international packaging & marketing expert, with extensive experience in industrial development, packaging, marketing, branding throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. Over the past 24 years, she has provided packaging and labeling design services to more than 250 industrial companies around the world. Ms. Atallah has partnered for 16 years with UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) as an international expert on packaging and marketing in numerous countries, including Mongolia, Morocco, Pakistan, Jordan, Oman, Egypt, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Tunisia. Her global expertise led to Ms. Atallah's appointment in 2017 as Vice President of the WPO (World Packaging Organization), for which her mandate includes the management of WPO presence in trade shows and exhibitions around the globe. In 2021, she assumed the role of WorldStar Coordinator where she organizes the prestigious global packaging competition on behalf of WPO. In her home country of Lebanon, she has established herself as the country's expert on packaging. As a proactive player in Lebanese industry, she founded LibanPack, the Lebanese Packaging Centre, and has raised the bar on packaging development through the organization of Arab StarPack, a yearly regional competition for both professionals and students. At the Arab level, in 2019 she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Arab Committee for Packaging in the Arab Union of Food Industries. She has also facilitated Arab and international industrial conferences and events within the framework of her expertise. Furthermore, Ms. Atallah continues to provide managerial, business & marketing coaching to private enterprises, UN and international organizations as a management and marketing consultant. Ms. Atallah holds a Masters degree from the Lebanese American University in International Affairs & Economic Development, and has completed an executive course on Strategic Marketing Management at the Harvard Business School.

Driven by a desire to delve deeper into the realm of sustainability within the packaging industry, Nathália pursued a Master's degree in Packaging Technology and Sustainability at the University of Applied Sciences Campus Vienna. This interdisciplinary program provided Nathália with a comprehensive understanding of packaging materials and design principles all while emphasizing the critical importance of sustainability throughout the packaging lifecycle. Throughout her academic journey, Nathália Antoniazzi has been motivated by a commitment to bridging the gap between environmental stewardship and industrial innovation. Currently serving as the Head of Secretariat of the World Packaging Organisation, Nathália navigates diverse international backgrounds daily. Originally from Brazil and now based in Austria, she offers a unique perspective shaped by firsthand experiences in both developing and developed countries. From exploring packaging alternatives to advocating for sustainable practices, Nathália is passionate about pushing the boundaries of packaging technology while prioritizing environmental responsibility.
