KIDS RULE PEDIATRICS - Key Persons

Dr. Harrell grew up in Snow Hill, NC and completed her undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University. She then went on to medical school at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. After completion of medical school in 2014, she moved to Buffalo, N.Y. for her residency in pediatrics at the University at Buffalo. Now she is excited to be home in eastern North Carolina and joining practicing pediatrics with Dr. Rule, Phin, PA-C, and Jada, FNP-C. She is married and enjoys going to the beach, any type of arts and crafts, going hunting with her husband, boating, and tennis. They have a chocolate lab named Timber.

Jada Taylor joined our practice in February of 2014 to further pursue her love of taking care of children. She worked in Labor and Delivery and Newborn nursery twelve years. Ten of those years were served here locally at Carteret Health Care. She is a native of Lumberton, N.C. She started her nursing career with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Five years later she achieved her personal goal of obtaining her BSN through East Carolina University. Her love of providing compassionate care for people was driving force to further her nursing education and career. She completed her MSN and became a Family Nurse Practitioner through ECU in 2012. Jada is married with 2 children. In her spare time, she enjoys being a mom, hunting with her family, playing softball, and other outdoor activities.

Sheena is a native of Carteret County. After high school, Sheena worked for 8 years at Carteret General Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician. Sheena then pursed a career in nursing at Carteret Community College where she graduated as an LPN in 2008. Prior to working with our practice, she worked with Geriatric patients in a nursing home. Sheena has been with us since 2012. In her free time she enjoys traveling and boating with her significant other Benji, his two children Adam and Sadie and her son Brody.

Tina has worked from our practice since 2015. Dr. Rule was Tina's pediatrician growing up and also has been her children's pediatrician. She is a Native American (Lumbee) from Lumberton, NC. In her spare time, Tina loves to spend time enjoying the beautiful Crystal Coast with her two children, Lucas and Dakota.
