Dr. Wendy M. Christensen

Dr. Wendy M. Christensen, a Maine native, received her PhD from the University of Wisconsin "Madison and was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Bowdoin College. Currently she is an Associate Professor in the Sociology Department at William Paterson University in New Jersey. Dr. Christensen teaches courses in social movements, research methods, social inequality and stratification, sociological theory, sociology of gender, sociology of the family, war and military, sociology of culture, news media, and Internet communications technology. Teachers taking her classes comment on how her motivational ideas in using technology for both teaching and learning continues to help them in their classrooms.

Mary Dunn

Mary Dunn holds 2 masters degrees and is a 30 plus year experienced educator. Her expertise includes literacy, special education, history and Native American Studies. Mary has received numerous awards for her teaching including Who's Who Among America's Teachers for making a difference in lives of her special education students and was one of 14 nationally to receive the Outstanding Elementary Teacher of America Award in recognition of her contribution to the advancement of elementary education and service to community. All of Mary's courses are created from personal experience. Mary was raised by her Native American grandfather and is still an active tribal member. Mary is sought out to work with problem students in school districts as she has ADHD, Autism and Dyslexia. She believes all learning differences are a gift and once recognized, all can be successful. She is a true example of what she teaches.

Melody Christensen

Melody Christensen, Director of AICE, was a classroom teacher for many years, has taught at all grade levels. Her experience includes working with students with exceptionalities both in the United States and England. As Director of the American Institute for Creative Education, Melody instructs classes in exceptionalities, literature, writing and assessment.

Richard Wing

Richard Wing is a retired English teacher having taught at the US Air Force Academy Preparatory School and two public high schools in Colorado Springs, CO. He is a 1976 graduate of the University of Maine, Farmington, and holds an MBA from Western New England University. He has also taught English methods courses in an Alternative Licensing Program in Colorado for older students wanting to enter teaching as a second career. Being retired, Rick spends much of his time substituting at Foxcroft Academy claiming he wasn ™t t ready to stop working with teens. As an avid writer and poet, he continues to write locally and maintains a blog of his own work.
