Lorenzo Mordini

My name is Lorenzo Mordini and I am Italian. I am the first born of two brothers. My parents still leave in Italy. My mother is a dentist and my father is a family doctor. They come from humble families and my youth was rich of love, kindness and protection. I have learned healthy behavior from my family. Respect and support for less lucky individuals, hard work and politeness. I have always been a lively kid. I loved to be in the nature and around animals. I have always enjoyed my trips to the mountains and the seaside. I lived in my small town for 27 years. I was influenced by my parents and I decided to focus my studies on dentistry. I graduated from dental school when I was 25. I , and definitely my parents, always put education as number one priority in my life. Living with my parents and in a small community made me seek for new experiences away from Italy. I moved to USA in 2011 where I start my first residency at BU. After being in Boston for few months I realized how my new life and experience could enrich me. This is why I extended my education with the specialty in periodontics and master of science. I was not ready to leave USA so I moved to Nebraska to obtain USA dental school certification so that I would be able to practice in the majority of the states. I now teach at tufts full time and planning to start to work in private practice. Besides my professional life, I have many hobbies. Having moved to Boston recently and being very busy with my new role, I could not find much time to grow my interests. I love photography, playing sports, I like to cook and exploring new restaurants and lounges. I am an eager traveler and I like to expand my knowledge by visiting new countries.
