Charles is a technology professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the computer field. During this time he has held a number of management and support positions as an information systems manager and architect, network/systems engineer, and as a consultant. For most of his career, Charles's key focus was on designing and managing secure and stable network environments. Charles holds several certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, and ISC2. He is also a regular contributor to several technology support forums and periodicals.

David W. Lester - CFO, EVP

David began his career in public accounting with KPMG in Louisville, Kentucky and later transferred to the firm's executive office in New York City. After nearly ten years in public accounting, he became the CFO of Kentucky Medical Insurance Company, a publicly traded medical malpractice insurance company. Along with Steven L. Salman, David led Kentucky Medical's successful efforts to combine with another medical professional liability insurance company, led the post-acquisition efforts to consolidate insurance company operations of the combined companies and was appointed CFO of the combined organizations. He has over 20 years of public company healthcare and insurance experience and merger, acquisition and divestiture experience. David is the CFO and a founding team member of GIMC and HU and has over 25 years of experience as CFO of a medical malpractice insurance company.

Joshua M. Salman - CEO, Founder, President

Joshua Salman is a Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Insurance Management Company, Inc, and Healthcare Underwriters Group, a regional medical malpractice insurance company. For nearly twenty years, Mr. Salman has been a successful insurance industry professional, executive and entrepreneur. Among his recent successes is the completion of an intricate conversion and merger of three state specific insurance companies (one mutual and two reciprocals) with their management companies to form a now single regional stock insurance company. Mr. Salman and his highly experienced team of insurance professionals have positioned the company for growth opportunities in a rapidly changing market sector. Mr. Salman's leadership is based on conservative principals and philosophies with the guiding tenets -- insure the right doctors at the right price and spend whatever is required to defend your policyholder's reputation. Prior to forming the GIMC and HU companies, Mr. Salman worked with some of the largest professional liability companies in the nation. His experience in professional liability claims, underwriting, risk management, sales and operations brings a scope of knowledge and experience that are instrumental in taking the company into the future. Mr. Salman is an alumnus of Indiana University and earned his M.B.A from Nova Southeastern University.

Morton C. Bell - VP

Bell is a senior insurance executive with over 25 years of experience in professional medical liability insurance. For nearly 20 years, Bell managed the underwriting department for Kentucky's leading medical liability insurance company, Kentucky Medical Insurance Company. He is an expert in insurance policy language, risk analysis, actuarial data, premium determination and reinsurance. Bell also participated in establishing policies and procedures for handling claims, selection of defense attorneys and the insurance company's cash reserve policies. Bell holds a Bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University and has served as a board member for the KMA Insurance Agency, Health Care Insurance Facility (a reinsurance entity) and the Rural Kentucky Medical Scholarship Fund.

Steven L. Salman - CEO

Salman has over 40 years of experience in insurance, medical malpractice insurance, and healthcare risk management. He is recognized internationally for his expertise in medical professional liability insurance. Salman has repeatedly been sought out by companies seeking to form or reengineer a medical liability insurance company. Prior to forming GIMC, Salman was President and CEO of ProNational Insurance Company, President and CEO of Kentucky Medical Insurance Company and Senior Vice President-Corporate Affairs & General Counsel for Sisters of Charity Health Care Systems, Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also served as President and CEO of Sisters of Charity's medical malpractice insurance subsidiary MSJ Insurance Company. Salman was also the founder and Board Chair of several newly formed medical malpractice insurance companies during the 1980's. He was the founding President of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) of the American Hospital Association. He has authored numerous articles and was co-author of the Handbook of Health Care Risk Management, published by Aspen Publishers. Mr. Salman holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana University and a J.D. from Capital University Law School.

Thomas W. Mueller

Mueller's depth and breadth of experience in insurance accounting and regulatory reporting spans 24 years. He has 13 years of experience specific to the medical professional liability insurance industry. In addition to 12 years at Kentucky's leading medical liability insurance company, Kentucky Medical Insurance Company, Mueller also worked in other industries such as manufacturing and engineering. He worked for five years in public accounting with the Big Four firm of Deloitte Touche. Mueller holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Bellarmine University and earned his CPA in 1981. He is also Chairman of the Board for Kentucky Telco Federal Credit Union.

William C. Ludwig - VP

Ludwig has more than 30 years of experience in managing and defending medical professional liability claims. Prior to joining GIMC, Ludwig was a successful defense trial lawyer. His unique and extensive knowledge of medicine, State law and the ever-changing legislative environments has made him one of the leading medical professional liability defense attorneys and claims executives in the country. Ludwig has also managed claims for some of the country's largest and most respected medical professional liability insurance companies. He received his B.A. degree from Duke University and his J.D. from Capital University Law School.
