Sameer is a mechanical engineer by training and works on building design, building materials and renewable energy. He has previous experience in industry (ONGC) and research & consulting (TERI). "My association with Dr Sameer Maithel dates back to my early days at the Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation (SDC) where we were developing an India program on Energy and Environment as part of SDC's Global Environment Program. It has been a privilege to be associated in many different way with his journey in setting up and shaping GKSPL as a knowledge start up when the word "start-up" was not in vogue. GKSPL's professional and financial integrity is exemplary. Under Dr Maithel's professional and pragmatic leadership GKSPL has grown steadily as a lead knowledge based advisory organisation in the Building Energy area. GKSPL today has a competent and committed team of professionals. GKSPL's approach is routed in Indian ground reality with a strong commitment to sustainable entrepreneurship development in the informal sectors like production of burnt bricks. A distinctive feature of its projects is the ability of GKSPL team to develop and maintain a variety of collaborative networks. They could be for designing residential building guidelines or for setting up BrickGuru training programs.
