Laura Lyn Bell

Laura Lyn Bell is currently on a sabbatical and will begin seeing clients in Fall 2024. I have walked the journey of healing through one-on-one counseling myself. Because of the inner healing I received from a Christian counselor, I want to pass along what I've learned and pour back into others. I am passionate about helping my clients be set free from unhealthy ways of living and heal from harmful thoughts and actions. My hope is that each client feels loved, accepted, and important when with me and that I can help them become their true authentic self - who God created them to be. Laura Lyn earned her Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree at the University of North Texas with a multidisciplinary concentration in Mediation, Special Education and certification in Rehabilitation Studies. She earned her Masters of Professional Counseling degree from Amberton University. Laura Lyn has 19 years of experience working at Hope for the Heart, a Christian counseling ministry. During this time, she worked attentively to implement quality processes for each biblical resource, covering over 100 topical life concerns. The ongoing intensity of her involvement has provided a biblical foundation of God's truth and grace that undergirds her counseling practice. Laura Lyn enjoys working with teens (age 15+) and adults. With a warm, friendly and comfortable approach, Laura Lyn utilizes a variety of orientations and therapies specifically adjusted to each client's individual needs. Her desire and passion is to help others on their journey to healing and, in her words, to encourage "soul care." Born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Laura Lyn is an avid reader and inspirational painter. She enjoys a wide genre of music - oftentimes displaying her talent as an Elvis impersonator at family karaoke parties. She has two grown children and lives in Dallas, Texas.
