JACOB SHEEP

Swallow Lane Farm & Fiberworks is a small family farm and weaving studio dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Jacob sheep. We produce top-quality registered Jacob sheep and other heritage livestock breeds, fine handwoven blankets, garments and gifts... We produce a limited number of high quality animals. We will tell you the strengths and weakness of any lamb you are considering. We only sell breeding stock good enough that we would use it in our own flock. Since 4 horns are unique to Jacobs, we strive to produce animals with strong and balanced 4 horns. We also breed for animals that have a balance of fleece quality, horn strength, marking, and primitive bodies... Twenty years later we are still breeding Jacobs. Along the way we've learned a few things and figured out what's important. We are dedicated to promoting heritage breeds, self-sufficiency, local food and a sustainable lifestyle. We see the Jacob as a viable livestock breed - not a novelty or "boutique sheep"...
