LUTHIER BERT KWAKKEL

The start of Bert Kwakkel's life in 1954 was fairly uncommon. He became the 50.000th inhabitant of Deventer (The Netherlands). That meant a big celebration for the city. Bert Kwakkel was on television the first day of his life... The guitar became a popular instrument in the Kwakkel-family. Because Bert's four brothers learnt to play the guitar more easily, he decided to build his first guitar (1971). Eight years later he ended his job as a draughtsman, to become a full-time guitarmaker... Classical concert guitars made by the Dutch luthier / guitar maker Bert Kwakkel.
