Norman D. Magnuson

Dr. Norman Magnuson returned to Oregon and began his first dental practice, Norman D. Magnuson, DDS, in 1982. Magnuson's son Dr. Ryan Magnuson joined him, and together they offer general, family, and cosmetic dentistry in two cities. The second-generation dentistry that became Magnuson Dental in 2000 is known for its comprehensive treatment planning and exceptional service. Dr. Norman Magnuson grew up in Santa Barbara, CA, and attended the University of Oregon before beginning dental school. He realized his passion for the Willamette Valley and returned in 1982 after graduating from Georgetown University School of Dentistry. Dr. Magnuson has participated and has been an active member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, CEREC Doctors, Spears Education, American Academy of Dental Boards, and the Western Regional Exam Board. He and his wife, Debby, have been married for over forty years and have three children: Danna, Ryan, and Jason. They enjoy having nine grandchildren and spending quality time with their families. The outdoors is what brought Dr. Magnuson back to Oregon and continues to be where the family enjoys activities such as fishing and traveling (within the state) and, he is also a farmer.

Ryan Magnuson

After graduating from George Fox University, Dr. Ryan Magunson received his dental degree from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Ryan began his passion for dentistry while assisting Dr. Norman Magnuson, his father, well before he graduated in 2018. Dr. Magnuson believes that community leadership and continual professional development are the hallmarks of a great dentist and practice. He is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, CEREC Doctors and Spears Education. Alongside his wife, Bethany, and their three children: Isaac, Levi, and Eleanor, they are proud residents of Eugene, Oregon. He and his family enjoy the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, traveling, golfing, swimming, and fishing.
