Carlos Medina

Dr. Medina will be joining Pediatric Urology Associates in August 2022 and looks forward to providing top notch urologic care to our patients. Dr. Medina has been in and around the New York metropolitan area his entire life. He grew up on Long Island, and during high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served for four years on active duty as an infantryman. He left active service and attended Columbia University where he majored in philosophy and history. While studying the history of American medicine and medical ethics in college he fell in love with the idea of pursuing a career in medicine. He then attended Cornell University Medical College where he decided to become a urologist and went on to train in urology at the University of Connecticut. During his time in residency he had the opportunity to train at Connecticut Children's Medical Center and was moved to dedicate his career to pediatric urology. Since that time, Dr. Medina has had a varied career from being a faculty member at New York Presbyterian/Cornell to being the Chief of Urology at Connecticut Children's. He now looks forward to returning home and providing top notch urologic care to your patients.

Jaime Freyle

Dr. Freyle is an assistant professor at Downstate and a faculty member of the Urology Residency Program at Maimonides Medical Center. He joined Pediatric Urology Associates in 2004.

Jordan Gitlin

Job Titles:

Dr. Gitlin is the Chief of Pediatric Urology at NYU Winthrop Hospital. He is also a clinical assistant professor at NYU LONG ISLAND School of Medicine. He graduated from Binghamton University and received his medical degree from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.

Lori Landau-Dyer

Dr. Dyer is an Assistant Professor of Urology at New York Medical College and joined Pediatric Urology Associates in 2006. Dr. Dyer is an Assistant Professor of Urology at New York Medical College where she remains dedicated to teaching residents and fellows. She is also an active attending pediatric urologist at Greenwich, Norwalk, and Stamford Hospitals where she does surgical cases and supervises medical students from the University of Vermont and residents from Stamford Hospital.

Mark Horowitz

Dr. Horowitz is the Director of Pediatric Urology at Staten Island University Hospital and an Associate Professor of Urology at New York Presbyterian and Northwell Health. Dr. Horowitz earned his M.D. degree from New York Medical College and completed his Urology training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. After completing a two-year fellowship in Pediatric Urology at The Children's Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle, Dr. Horowitz served as the Director of Pediatric Urology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and New York Presbyterian Hospital Queens. He is board-certified in both adult and pediatric urology. He is currently the Director of Pediatric Urology at Staten Island University Hospital and partner at Pediatric Urology Associates. He is an Associate Professor of Urology at New York Presbyterian and Northwell Health. Dr. Horowitz has served on the editorial review board for the Journal of Urology, Urology and the Journal of Andrology. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the Section on Urology of The New York Academy of Medicine. He has authored 15 textbook chapters; published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented more than 75 papers at national meetings. He has been a visiting professor internationally and has participated and led Pediatric Urologic missions overseas. He has served as an editor for the National Association for Continence Newsletter, served on the Plenary session at the Annual Meeting of the American Urological Association, and served as a consultant for the Public Health Implications of Urogenital Disease: A Focus on Overactive Bladder.

Paul F. Zelkovic

Dr. Zelkovic is Chief of Pediatric Urology at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla, NY and Clinical Associate Professor of Urology at New York Medical College.

Richard N. Schlussel

Job Titles:

Dr. Schlussel is currently the Director of Pediatric Urology for the Hackensack Meridian Health Network and a faculty member of the Department of Urology at The New York - Presbyterian Komansky Center for Children's Health of the Cornell Medical Center and Englewood Hospital. He joined Pediatric Urology Associates in 2011. Dr. Schlussel is the Director of Pediatric Urology for the Hackensack Meridian Health Network.

Ronnie G. Fine

Dr. Fine holds a board certification in both urology and pediatric urology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology. She joined Pediatric Urology Associates in 2013.

Steven C. Friedman

Dr. Friedman has been honored by being listed in several issues of New York Magazine's "Best Doctors in New York" in addition to Castle Connelly's, "How to Find the Best Doctors in the Metropolitan Area." He serves on the Board of directors of The Brooklyn School for Special Children, The Block Institute, as well as on multiple hospital committees. Dr. Friedman is the Chief of Pediatric Urology at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York, and has been a member of Pediatric Urology Associates since 1997. Since November of 2019, he has also served as the president of PUA.
