Aayush Modi has been with the Firm since the Ahmedabad office was set up in May 2015.
He heads the Ahmedabad Office of Universal Legal. He assists clients with their legal needs related to civil litigation and various Intellectual Property protection and prosecution, amongst other requirements.
Aayush handles various IPR activities including filing Applications; Registration & Prosecution. He also handles various Civil Litigation cases before the Hon'ble High Court of Gujarat and Electricity related disputes which are adjudicated by the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission, Gandhinagar (GERC). During his time in the United States, Aayush Jayesh Modi worked as a Legal Consultant at The Chugh Firm where he worked with the Corporate Litigation team and also worked with the Immigration team handling non-immigrant applications.

Abhilasha Ramakrishnan joined the Chennai office in June 2022.
She is a member of the corporate and transactional team and is involved in private equity/venture capital transactions and conducting due diligences.
Abhilasha obtained her undergraduate law degree from BCWCLC, Karnataka State Law University and her Master of Laws from King's College London.

He is a member of the Transactions Practice Team at the Firm's Mumbai Office focusing on assisting and advising domestic and foreign clients on venture capital investments, private equity investments, joint ventures, business restructuring, and mergers & acquisitions (including court-sanctions mergers), in India and overseas.
He also advises on company formations, structuring of early stage businesses and startups, drafting of joint development agreements, hotel management agreements, ISDA Master Agreement and various corporate-commercial agreements, SEBI, RBI, RoC and other regulatory compliances. He has advised clients in mining, pharmaceuticals, fintech, IT, hospitality, real estate, power and manufacturing sectors. His experience in advising and representing clients in corporate and commercial disputes comes handy in his transactions practice.
He received his bachelor's degree in Commerce in 2013 and his bachelor's degree in Law in 2016. He qualified as a Company Secretary in 2014. He has co-authored books published by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India on Fund Raising, Prohibition of Insider Trading, Annual Compliances for Indian Companies, SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 and Related Party Transactions.

Adit has been with the Firm since July, 2020.
Adit is a member of the transactions - debt, banking and finance team, Adit assists the team on structuring of transactions involving issuance of debt instruments, both in the listed and unlisted space and advises on diverse matters in the finance space including assignment of loan receivables and digital lending. Adit has advised clients in the venture-debt space in their investment in early-stage ventures in various sectors and assisted on the structuring and documentation in connection with the investment strategy involving equity participation. Adit also assists in general corporate matters where the team represents various early-stage ventures, non-banking financial companies and mutual fund houses.

Aditya Bimal Mehta, has been associated with the Ahmedabad office since January 2016.
He heads the Litigation Department and is handling Litigation matters at the Ahmedabad office of Universal Legal. Aishwarya Mahesh joined the Chennai office in 2017.
Aishwarya is a member of the corporate and transactional team and is involved in private equity investments, due diligences and in advising clients with regulatory compliances. She also works on drafting and vetting of commercial contracts and assists on secretarial compliances.
Aishwarya graduated with distinction from School of Law, SASTRA Deemed University with an honors degree in law and has been a university rank holder through the five years.

Akshita Ummat is an Associate at Universal Legal-Delhi. Presently, Akshita Ummat is actively involved in civil/criminal litigation matters, making regular appearances before various Courts/Tribunals. She advises her clients on Contractual-Commercial laws, Labour issues, Real Estate, Due Diligence on property and title investigations. Alpna Arya joined Universal Legal, the Chennai team, in 2016.
With an overall practice of more than 4 years, Alpna Arya is a qualified company secretary having significant exposure in ensuring secretarial compliances under Companies Act, 2013 by both Indian and foreign held companies. She also has hands-on experience in handling matters in relation to FEMA compliances, including on compliances applicable to NBFCs.

Animesh Joshi has been with the Firm since November 2018.
He is a member of the Investment Funds Team. He has advised various domestic fund managers on formation and registration of alternative investment funds (including private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital funds, debt funds and so on), and drafting, and negotiation of associated documentation. He has also advised fund managers on formation and obtaining registration in GIFT City. He has wide experience in advising investment advisers, portfolio managers, mutual funds, registrars to an issue & share transfer agent on registrations, reporting and documentation.
Prior to joining IC Legal, Animesh Joshi worked as an Associate with a law firm handling company law matters at NCLT, Mumbai Bench and SAT for a period of 1 year.

Jitesh Anand has been with ICUL since June, 2018.
He is a member of the Investment Funds and Financial Services Team focusing on assisting and advising domestic and foreign clients on setting up of investment funds and entering into business transactions. Kartikey is an associate at Universal Legal - Delhi. He is actively involved in civil/criminal litigation matters and advising clients on Real Estate and Due Diligence on property and title investigation etc He also advises on FCRA related queries for NGOs and regulatory labour and employment compliances.
Mr. Kartikey holds a dual degree of Bachelors in Law and Arts (Honours) from Amity Law School, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. Mr. Kartikey consistently achieved first division all through his five years of under-graduate legal education.

Dikshit joined IC Universal Legal-Chennai office in 2018, as a Senior Associate.
He is a member of the corporate transaction team focusing on assisting and advising domestic and foreign clients on private equity investments, joint venture, and acquisitions. He also regularly advises clients on various legal aspects regarding day-to-day business operations and assist clients in drafting, vetting and negotiating agreements on their behalf.

Ms. Drishti Jaiswal has been associated with us since April, 2022 as a Company Secretary.
She is currently holding a position of an Associate Company Secretary in the Secretarial team at I C Universal Legal, Advocates & Solicitors, Delhi office. Her key areas of practice are secretarial compliances, FEMA compliances, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies & compliances and drafting of various commercial documents. She also plays an advisory role in secretarial, CSR and other matters connected thereto.
She has completed her B.com (Honours) from University of Delhi and also an Associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
