Brandee S Black

Dr. Black is an accomplished team physician, caring for many collegiate and professional level teams. Dr. Black specializes in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine and treats athletes of all ages and activity levels. Her practice focuses on open and arthroscopic surgery of the knee, ankle, and shoulder. She also performs surgery for knee cartilage injury, meniscus injury, ACL tears, shoulder labral tears, rotator cuff tears and also replacements of the shoulder and knee. She enjoys treating patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, or ganglion cysts as well as patients with broken bones. She began her medical education after working for 13 years as an Exercise Physiologist. Her work prior to becoming an Orthopaedic Surgeon focused on coaching sports-specific athletes to improve performance. After her training, she began practicing in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine Division, at the University of New Mexico. She is an accomplished team physician, caring for many collegiate and professional level teams, most recently, the University of New Mexico Lobos varsity athletic teams. Dr. Black enjoys spending time with her family in Kailua; her sister, brother-in-law, and 4 nieces and nephews. When not caring for orthopaedic patients, she is usually outdoors, running, paddling, or biking.

Dr. Frederick Matsen III

Dr. Ganesh is a double-fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder, elbow, and hand surgery. He completed his surgical internship and orthopaedic residency at Orlando Health, one of the top 10 busiest hospitals in the country, where he had rigorous training in orthopaedic trauma and joint arthroplasty. At the University of Washington, Dr. Ganesh studied under world-renowned shoulder surgeon Dr. Frederick Matsen III. At New York University (NYU Langone), he trained with Dr. Martin Posner and Dr. Steven Glickel (President of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, 2007-2008) to further specialize in disorders of the hand and wrist. Dr. Ganesh has authored peer-reviewed scientific articles, published posters, and lectured at nationwide orthopaedic conference about subjects including the functional range of motion of professional musicians and fluoroscopic examination of wrist fractures. Outside of work, Dr. Ganesh enjoys surfing with his wife, hiking, playing guitar, and leading an active lifestyle. He is most interested in getting patients back to the activities they love doing most.
