Laidlaw Schools Trust was founded in 2008 to provide inspirational education to secondary school pupils in Newcastle. Today, we support children from nursery to sixth form in Newcastle, Sunderland and Sedgefield to aspire and achieve, and are set to grow further... Laidlaw Schools Trust is generously supported by the Laidlaw Foundation, which invests in the education of the underprivileged and underrepresented in order to break the cycle of poverty, reduce inequality and develop a new generation of leaders... Excelsior Academy is an ‘all through academy', made up of three phases; Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form College. Each phase has a family feel, where our pupils feel safe, comfortable and confident to achieve their potential.
