Gary is Co-Founder and Director of Metromec Services & Maintenance Ltd, an established mechanical and electrical services design, installation and maintenance contractor specialising in the commercial, industrial and domestic property markets. Metromec offer industry leading expertise and exemplary attention-to-detail, ensuring projects are completed successfully, with an ongoing commitment to the highest standards of customer care.
Gary started his career with Crown House Engineering, Croydon winning the coveted ‘Apprentice of the Year' award. It was within his role as Contract Manager at Air Cool Engineering that he worked on several projects with Mark Wort. With work ethics that were similar to each of them, they decided to team up, and Metromec was born.
Gary's proactive, versatile hands-on approach combined with delivering projects to the highest standards has been key to building long term relationships with Metromec's clients. Gary's has a wealth of experience in mechanical and plumbing services covering all aspects of project management, planning, installations, supervision, testing and commissioning and extensive knowledge of cost management.
Mark has over 30 years experience in the building services industry and specialises in project managing bespoke mechanical and electrical engineering solutions for our clients.
Mark began his career as an apprentice, as many leading experts in the engineering industry do; giving him the solid grounding and experience that has let to his expertise in the field.
Within ten years of starting his career, Mark was a Senior Project Engineer at Rosser and Russell, which was in the top ten of the UK's companies with the largest turnover in building services at the time, and in just over 10 years, Mark was appointed Director of an engineering services firm, where he was responsible for overall project management, together with the shared responsibility for policies, strategic review and business administration.
Mark, alongside Gary launched Metromec in 1998, using their industry experience to provide their clients with a fully integrated mechanical and electrical engineering service, incorporating design, installation, repair and maintenance with a passion for the highest standard of project delivery.
It is Mark's comprehensive high-profile career in engineering that gives him the expert credentials to lead Metromec client projects to successful fruition.
