Aton M. Holzer, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon specializing in Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology, with nearly a decade of experience in all aspects of general dermatology.
Dr. Holzer was born and raised in Queens, New York. He completed medical school at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, where he graduated with an M.D. with Honors in Research, and where he was awarded the prestigious "Good Physician" award. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, a Research Track residency in dermatology at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, and his fellowship in Mohs Surgery and Procedural Dermatology at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas under the tutelage of Leonard H. Goldberg, MD. In the past, he has worked as a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon in both South Miami and Pembroke Pines, Florida and as a part-time teledermatology consultant for Refuah Health Center in Rockland County, New York.
Since 2015, he has been the director of the Mohs unit in the Department of Dermatology at Tel Aviv-Sourasky (Ichilov) Medical Center, a major academic hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel, where he performs surgeries and mentors dermatology residents and medical students. He commutes back to the U.S. one week per month to treat Mohs patients in our East Setauket, Riverhead, and Ridgewood offices.
He is a fellow member of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Holzer has authored a published chapter in a dermatology textbook and has authored and co-authored numerous articles published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals. His work has been presented at national dermatology conferences.
Barbara Kornfeld, PA-C, is a licensed physician assistant who received her Masters's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College in NYC. She has previously worked as a Physician Assistant for Forest Hills Dermatology Group and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New York State Society of Physician Assistants. Barbara is skilled in the diagnosis and management of dermatological conditions for children and adults.
She is experienced in both medical dermatology and aesthetics. She has vast knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of dermatological diseases, such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, hair loss, and skin cancers.
Brenda Mintz, NP is a highly qualified, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 8 years of experience diagnosing and treating patients in many aspects of dermatology. She has an excellent rapport with patients, their families, and other clinicians. Brenda is skilled at performing complex procedures such as skin biopsies, cyst removal, diagnosing basal, squamous, and melanoma skin cancers, and additional procedures in the advanced field of medical dermatology. She earned her Nurse Practitioner degree from Pace University, where she graduated with Cum Laude Honors.

Mr. Byrne has been a Certified Physician Assistant at Advanced Dermatology and the Center for Laser & Cosmetic Surgery since 2004. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from New York University, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the New York Institute of Technology. Mr. Byrne also completed a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies with a concentration in dermatology from the University of Nebraska School of Medicine. He has completed clerkships in every major branch of medicine, including internal medicine, pediatrics and dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New York Society of Physician Assistants. He is a founding member of the New York Dermatology Physician Assistants, and currently serves as its Vice President. With an innate compassion for others, Mr. Byrne became a Physician Assistant to enable him to help people, particularly with their skin problems. As a teen, he suffered with acne and knows firsthand how skin problems can affect a person's daily life. Mr. Byrne grew up in the Long Island area, where he and his wife are now raising their children. In their spare time they enjoy outdoor activities such as kayaking and camping.

Cybele Fishman, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a BA in Romance Languages & Literature and Latin American Studies. After completing her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Fishman completed one year of clinical training in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and three years of dermatology training at Albert Einstein School of Medicine, where she was chief resident. In addition, she completed advanced fellowship training in Melanoma and Pigmented Lesions at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. In 2010, she studied integrative medicine at the Continuum Center for Health and Healing, Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Fishman is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and has made several appearances as a skin health and wellness expert online, in print media, and on television, including several appearances on "The Dr. Oz Show," and the "The Today Show" and educational videos for Women's Health and Parents.
Dr. Fishman's approach is to integrate the best of traditional, integrative, and cosmetic dermatology to offer individualized care, and to help patients feel great. In her 18 years of practicing dermatology, she enjoys a personal connection with her patients and solving their dermatological health issues.
Dr. David Hashemi is a Harvard-trained Dermatologist with experience in medical, cosmetic, and surgical Dermatology. He has trained at several of the most respected hospitals in the nation, having completed residency at the Harvard Combined program that includes Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children's Hospital, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He completed his internship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, medical school at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with the highest-possible class rank, and post-baccalaureate studies at Johns Hopkins University.
Prior to medicine, Dr. Hashemi served as an Engagement Manager in management consulting and Director of Corporate Strategy at a Fortune 500 entertainment company. He also holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors. While in residency, he also worked as Entrepreneur in Residence at Gore Range Capital, a venture capital firm focused exclusively on Dermatology and skin health. He continues to remain interested in leveraging his background to help drive innovation in the field of Dermatology, and has significant experience with new technologies, clinical trials, and tools advancing the field.
Dr. Hashemi has and continues to work closely with multiple past presidents of the field's leading bodies including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and American Society of Laser Surgery and Medicine. He has given multiple lectures and published numerous articles on medical, cosmetic, and surgical Dermatology in such influential journals as JAMA Dermatology, JAAD, and Dermatologic Surgery.
Outside of his busy schedule, Dr. Hashemi enjoys trying new restaurants, exercising in various forms, and traveling to new cities and countries.

Dennis Kwiecinski is a licensed and board-certified Physician Assistant serving patients throughout New York City at Advanced Dermatology Associates. He provides a wide variety of medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology services and is highly experienced in the treatment of all skin, hair, and nail conditions as well as all skin growths.
Mr. Kwiecinski received his undergraduate degree from The University Of Massachusetts and went on to receive his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Pace University. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Dennis completed clinical training around NYC, Hudson valley hospitals, and private practices throughout the region before finding his home here at Advanced Dermatology Associates.

Dr. Dale Abadir is a board-certified dermatologist and an Assistant Professor at the Albert Einstein Medical Center where she teaches surgery to Dermatology residents. After completing her medical degree from the University of Sydney in Australia, Dr. Abadir received training in plastic surgery in Australia and England. She then completed her Dermatologic residency at New York University Medical Center.
A member of the American Society of Dermatological Surgery and a founding member of the International Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Dr. Abadir frequently lectures and instructs at workshops in national and international conferences. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Medical Council of the Skin Cancer Foundation.. Dr. Abadir has published many articles on skin cancer, cosmetic surgery and cosmetic dermatology, as well has been featured in New York Best Doctors.
Dr. Howard David Solomon, D.O, graduated from Long Island University and received his medical training at the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. After completing his degree, he was the chief resident of dermatology at Albany Medical Center. During his decades-long career, he has focused mainly on medical dermatology, including the diagnosis and treatment of seborrheic dermatitis, benign and cancerous skin lesions, and ringworm. In addition to treating skin conditions, he also performs cosmetic procedures such as laser treatments and skin-enhancing injectable treatments. Dr. Solomon currently serves patients of Forest Hills, Queens, and the surrounding area.
