Mr. Michael Robinson

Michael Robinson - Mr. Robinson joined the Aledo Band Staff in 2003 and has been teaching beginning band classes for over 20 years. Previous to Aledo, he taught in Fort Worth ISD. He currently teaches beginning band classes at Aledo Middle School and McAnally Middle School, and assists with the middle school & high school bands. Mr. Robinson attended Texas Wesleyan University. Professionally he belongs to Texas Music Educators Association as well as Texas Bandmasters Association. He and his wife, April, have one child, Meagan, who is currently attending Weatherford College.

Mr. Scott Stephens

Scott Stephens graduated from Texas Christian University in May 2018 with his Bachelor of Music Education degree. While attending TCU, Mr. Stephens performance experiences included the TCU Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Horned Frog Marching Band, Steel Band, PASIC Snare Ensemble, and the PASIC Champion TCU Percussion Orchestra. He has studied with Dr. Brian A. West, Dr. Andrew Eldridge, Dr. Richard Gipson, and Joey Carter among others. Mr. Stephens has teaching experience across the metroplex and a private lesson studio that spans across multiple districts and campuses. Mr. Stephens student taught with Mrs. Olivia Ramirez in Spring 2018 in Aledo ISD where he served as Percussion Paraprofessional -- assisting Percussion Director, Mr. Stephen Segura. As paraprofessional, he assisted with percussionist, grades 6-12, including the Aledo High School Bearcat Regiment. He is an active member of Texas Music Educators Association and Percussive Arts Society, and is Texas certified to teach K-12 music.

Mr. Simon Bosch

Simon Bosch joined the Aledo Middle School band staff in 2014, moving into the head director position in 2022. Originally from Colorado, Simon earned a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Baylor University and a master's degree in Trumpet Performance from Florida State University, where he also served as a graduate teaching assistant for the trumpet studio. Mr. Bosch is the primary director for the Aledo Middle School varsity ensemble, Honor Winds, and assists with the AMS Symphonic Winds and Concert Band. He also teaches beginner Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, and Tuba. Under Mr. Bosch's direction, Aledo Middle School bands have earned exclusively unanimous first division ratings at UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest, as well as numerous festivals across north Texas. His ensembles have received Best in Class awards at multiple festivals including the Peak Music Festival in Denton, TX, and class champion at the 2021 North Texas Festival of Distinction. The Aledo Middle School Symphonic Winds have been named a Winner in The Citation of Excellence project through The Foundation for Music Education for 5 consecutive years (2017-2021). As a performer, Simon has had the pleasure of performing with various ensembles at TMEA, ABA, CBDNA, and ITG conferences, and has made numerous appearances in the semifinals and finals at the National Trumpet Competition. His playing can be heard on albums with the Florida State University Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble as well as the C3 Big Band. Simon's primary trumpet teachers include Bill Pfund, Wiff Rudd, and Dr. Christopher Moore. In his free time Simon enjoys spending time with his wife Stephanie, his son Silas (b. 2022), and their four cats, as well as playing disc golf and cooking.

Mrs. Emily Moore

Emily Moore is the newest band director at Aledo MS and is in her fourth year of teaching. Her responsibilities will include teaching the beginning woodwind classes and the Symphonic Winds. Prior to joining Aledo MS, Mrs. Moore began her career at Vista Ridge MS in Keller ISD where she taught the beginning double reeds, saxophone, and euphonium classes, the Jazz Band, and the Symphonic Band. Mrs. Moore holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Studies from Texas State University where she graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University in May of 2019. At Texas State, Mrs. Moore studied with Dr. Ian Davidson, Dr. Mary Ellen Cavitt, Dr. John Denis, Dr. Caroline Beatty, Dr. Kyle Glaser, and Matthew Holzner. During her time at Texas State, she held principal positions in numerous ensembles including the Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra. In college, Mrs. Moore worked as a Bobcat Marching Band Manager, a counselor at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, a marching technician at Cedar Park High School in Cedar Park, TX, and a Junior Faculty member for the Bocal Majority Double Reed Camps. In Spring 2019, she student taught in Leander ISD at Stiles Middle School with Darcy Williams and at Camacho Elementary School with Rebecca Koch. Mrs. Moore is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota National Music Fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, and Pi Kappa Lambda. Mrs. Moore's' professional memberships include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, National Association for Music Education, Sigma Alpha Iota National Music Fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, and Pi Kappa Lambda. During her free time, Mrs. Moore rehearses and performs with the Mansfield Wind Symphony and Fort Worth City Band on oboe. Mrs. Moore lives in White Settlement, TX with her husband Dexx Moore and their three cats.
